Good question.
Jefferson’s definitely a great athlete and I’ve seen him make some great plays. I’ve also seen him look inept at times.
Hate to hear this because it allows Beamer to make a pitch to recruits.

on the portal for a starting QB and the HS recruits are there in an emergency. Seems like a receipt to fail in the long run.

True. I was thinking more about OL. Was hoping for some de commitments. Now he can say “see, we’ve got Jefferson coming in and we’re only going to get better”.

I’m surprised you guys don’t have any interest. He’s the type of QB that could be successful in a Riley system.
He will be awful in a Loggains system.

Why do these supposedly talented QB's keep coming to Cola. and keep getting carried off in body bags? It is almost like there is this huge demonically inspired Invisible Coot Wingman at the gate, letting in a new savior every couple of years, and getting the trashy dirty-towel crowd all oily and covered in saliva, then the newest messiah gets the living daylights pounded out of him for a year or two before limping out of town, while dragging his dilapidated body and mumbling something about his "Mama" and is never seen or heard from again. Seems like the same play being run over & over.

Let's not forget Rattler. That is how they got him and look at how that turned out. If you don't have an OL in front of you, it does not matter how good your QB or RB is. Deion proved to the world that you cannot build a team on portals.

Whether Rattler worked out for them or not depends on how you look at it. They certainly didn't come close to winning any championships with him or even make a bowl game this season, but for Beamer Rattler may have been the difference in him not being firmly on the hot seat already. They probably would have ended up with a losing record last season including a loss to Clemson without Rattler, and probably would've ended up at 3-9 or 2-10 without him this season.
