reserved for Ohioans? I'm assuming just as many people from Michigan move to the south, and almost as many from Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc.
Here in Naples, which is Big Ten south, I've met more from Michigan for sure.

Other rustbelt hellscapes aren't so provocatively vocal about what they left behind as Ohioans are. At least when Texans are proclaiming their greatness as a state, they have some reliable data to fall back on. And, they generally don't voluntarily leave Texas. Anyone that's been to Ohio knows that those people are just stupid and loud about a place even THEY don't want to live.

Native Southerner/Floridian living near Lake Michigan. People up here don’t suck as bad as those from Ohio.
They still suck but not as bad. Still, all these ######s moving down south making it more expensive for me when I finally get to move home.

That nutjob spent 5 years at Harvard on the Hill to get a two year degree. She'd repeat any and every course until she got all A's. I took C's and graduated from Clemson in three years after transferring in 12 hours from G'ville Tech. I went to high school in a broken little town called Rockwood in E. TN so the superior schools they think they have are a delusion.
So yeah, my preference is to stay away from all of them.

Also, ever notice how the annoying Ohio people are ohio state fans?
That's your biggest correlation, IMO. I can hang out w/ Ohio people who hate Ohio State as much as I do.
When you get a bunch of Ohio State people together, it's ####### miserable.
I think Michigan people (western Michigan is all I"ve met) are hands down the nicest culture / group of Americans I've been around.

A few years ago that there were 2 reasons so many Ohioans have flocked to the South as compared to other state peoples:
1) Ohio has literally no spots at which to vacation and has no beaches of consequence. It is a trashy state made so by trashy people. All other states have many awesome vacation destinations.
2) OSU graduates many people but a low % find good jobs. All the rest become truck drivers, thus over time they have found our treasured SC beaches.
FYI, I also know a Michigander who has a condo in Naples 😅
