was left out.
Reece asked about why Clemson and Oklahoma State were left out, he responded about Oklahoma State and Rutgers and no follow up.

Yep. Talked about objective metrics. There is no more objective of a metric than results on the floor. Clemson beat NCST not once, not twice, but 3 times.

Plus Pitt (on the road) and Duke. Undefeated against 3 of 5 ACC teams in tournament, but bad losses weigh more it seems.

Yep. No comment about Clemson.
Sounded to me like he didn't consider when the losses were. And he only looked at metrics. The metrics were off this year. No way the ACC should get half as many teams into the tournament as the $EC and BIG 10. No way.

a loss to them on the road shouldn’t be considered a bad loss. They were 9-11 in league play with wins over UVA, 2 over VT, 1 point loss to Duke, 8 pt loss to UNC. The NET takes no consideration to injuries, teams adjusting, improving, the added difficulty of conf games, etc. It is a failed experiment.

Jerry Palm said because our non conference schedule was ranked over 300 plus the 4 bad losses. He said we shouldn't have even been the first 4 out. That's why Rutgers was left out also was because their schedule was ranked over 300 and they even beat Purdue. We gotta quit scheduling the Bellarmines and USC Upstates of the world and schedule more POwer 5 teams.

I understand that. I would have appreciated hearing how they weighed those negatives agains the positives, like finishing 3rd in the ACC, being 5-0 vs. NC State, Duke and Pitt that all made the tournment. I wanted to hear from the head of the committee, not some self-appointed expert.
The guy was asked a direct question about Clemson and his response was about Rutgers. Why dodge the question?
