Just read a headline on ESPN that 5 SEC teams were hosting regionals… so nauseating reading the bias.
I did not click the article so did not get the total breakdown per conference. 🤦♂️

Conference tournaments are of very little value

to the selection committee. I stressed this in some posts earlier this week when the many doomsdayers on this board were saying the Miami loss would knock us from national seed or UL was a must win. It didn’t matter. The tournaments are single elimination in a lot of games, the motivations of teams are entirely different. Teams aren’t going to risk their rotation rest coming off final weeekend and week prior to regionals with aligning staff to be best in best. All NCAA rounds are double elimination. The committee views conference tourneys more like mid week games - this isn’t new. The only time is Mayer is potentially bubble team playing a bubble team or someone winning a tourney to get an auto(the 1 team leagues obviously). But that’s shaping the field not seeding, hosts, national seeds. That stuff is pretty set and not changing.

Baseball tournament. Duke is 16th in the RPI with a victory over the team that the committee gave the 16th seed to, and a conference title; they got hosed.

It's always mainly ACC and SEC host sites. No Big 10. Do they even have college baseball in the Midwest or even care. For Clemson and FSU fans that are longing to be in the B1G it would destroy our spring sports recruiting IMO. SEC or just stay in the ACC.
