some of the players we already have right now. If that is true, does not bode well at all for acquiring new ones from the Portal.

Agreed. He will use the portal in a way that still supports the culture of Clemson football.

Exactly, and people not leaving means that you do not have scholarship openings to offer portal players.
Clemson is a special / unique environment. If players aren't leaving you had better have chosen well.
With all of the departures it leaves roster spots we did not think we're going to be available. So now that they're openings and we have our high school players the portal is where you go.
