Struck out 19. Only runner to reach base was a HBP in 8th.

The only way I can think to make this a football related post is to say Arkansas kicked Murray State out of Omaha.

If that were true the Atlanta Braves would've won 3 or 4 World Series during the 1990s...not just the one.
I say it's a little of both...you gotta be balanced overall.

Power pitching does. Braves, Atlanta guy here, were too much finesse with Glavine and Maddux during that era. This is very debatable though, good discussion. Caus everyone would say same thing about the braves during that time and its a shame we only got 1

Of the only 2 other CWS no-hitters, Oklahoma St. no-hit North Carolina in 1950.

impressive performance by arkansas, murray state defense did its job but arkansas is a very good pitching team, they prob should have beat LSU, but they need there bats to wake up 7 runs of offense in two games for Arkansas.

Also tip of the hat to Murray State team and coach they were an offensive machine putting up 18 runs on teams like Ole Miss, GT and Duke. When the reached Omaha they ran into some heavy duty defense against UCLA and Arkansas. Louisville and Arkansas still have a chance they have the talent, looking like it will be LSU and Coastal though

That was a great performance by Gage Wood. I was hoping Murray State could win it all, but as that game went on it was hard not to pull for the perfect game.
