Are there any articles anywhere written by actual

journalists regarding Big 12 expansion? Not bloggers and their websites with write ups of rumors and gossip, but professional journalists with well written articles?
Not trying to be critical about anything, but I am interested to see real stories about expansion if they are out there. Once I read those, then I can jump in on the blogs and such with my opinions.
Just wondering. Thanks.

No. The only school that has been mentioned as being on the radar is Louisville.
Don't know why some posters get mad when I ask for a link to a story. It's a way to back up the claims made.

Possibilities are almost always more interesting and

exciting than reality, and not nearly as limiting.
I fully understand the frustration with the ACC, especially under Swofford, and I realize some of the advantages we would have in a conference like the Big 12. There is absolutely nothing wrong with dreaming or aspiring for bigger and better things, and it's normal and appropriate to speculate and discuss it on here.
What is crazy is how one little rumor here and a little blog there all of a sudden gets everybody's hopes up until until a lot of people are thinking our joining the SEC/Big 12 is a done deal, or at the very least, soon will be. For example, a few months back, WYFF reported that there were rumors that Clemson had been talking to the Big 12. The next day, I had at least 5 different people tell me face to face that it was a "done deal" that Clemson was in fact going to the Big 12, and that WYFF had reported it, more or less. Obviously, this was not what was reported, and was not true at all. However, people were hearing what they wanted to hear. Before the Big 12, it was the SEC. Bloggers fueled the fire and hopeful tiger fans saw every shred of half-truth and possibility as strong evidence.
I'm not saying it won't happen; in fact I think conferences will continue to realign and we will certainly be affected one way or another. It could happen by weeks end, or it may be a few years down the road, but as far as I can tell there is no credible source reporting anything of the sort at this point. Like I said, nothing wrong with speculating and looking at different scenarios - as long as we understand it is nothing more than pure speculation at this point lacking any credible source whatsoever.
