who we have played? I was just looking at NCAA stats and if the statistics speak to anything FSU does not deserve the high ranking they have and we don't deserve the low ranking that we have. But then again according to NCAA stats AirForce has the best defense right now....Just sayin'

That's gotta include the entire schedule. No way it's 13th with only those 3 opponents.

Yeah... total offense and defense don't adjust for anything

Opponent strength isn't factored in. Tempo isn't factored in. Garbage time stats aren't filtered out. Etc, etc...

Service academy defenses are a great example. They're always going to be overrated in total defense because the entire aim of their offense is to hold the ball for a long ### time to shorten the game and keep opposing offenses off the field. If you look at something better like yards per play allowed, suddenly the service academy defenses look much, much worse.

The three game sample size isn't helping either as some teams have already played 1 or 2 quality opponents while others have faced 3 cupcakes.

TLDR: don't read too much into those stats right now.
