Arch Manning for the ones in the back
Jun 25, 2022, 9:29 AM
|

absolutely did not make his decision based on NIL money. The Manning family ain't stressing over money, at all. Just because a recruit chooses a school other than Clemson does not mean they did so based on NIL money. Manning chose Texas because of Sark's offensive prowess and probably because....wait for it....he just liked UT and wanted to go there.

Probably because when asked whether or not he was going to Texas, McConaughey said "it'd be a lot cooler if you did".

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if he made his decision based on playing time and who he'd have to beat out for the job then I doubt he would have picked Texas considering their current QB room has plenty of talent.

He should’ve picked Scar. They’ve never had talent in a QB room. Come to think of it has a Scar QB ever been drafted?

Ewers told Arch he was going to start this year (Arch's h.s. sr year) and hopefully next year, then go pro leaving it to Arch in Arch's r.s. freshman or soph year. Arch can play however short or long he wants and will not hesitate to leave a bad situation.

Georgia doesn't develop QBs. Alabama has Heisman Trophy winning Bryce Young and he doesn't want to wait and follow him.
Texas it is.

1. Manning has said multiple times he wants a redshirt year. 2. Bryce Young will be drafted by an NFL team before Manning ever qualifies to play a college game.

He will play behind Ewers in his freshman year if Ewers produces this year. But you're right Chuckston T-Man, he can take a red shirt or not, whatever he wants.

His decision didn't include Clemson
Jun 25, 2022, 10:47 AM

Clemson moved on months ago because they didn't want to risk not getting Vizzina waiting on Manning. That's all. Clemson got lucky waiting on Simpson last Cycle then nabbing Klubnik afterwards.

That’s a coot sounding lie. Arch moved on, just deal with it. They are SEC people and obviously you aren’t bright enough to realize that Clemson is ACC.

I don’t think he would’ve had the patience to wait his turn behind Klubnik and Vizinna. Best of luck to him at Texas. Hook ‘em when you don’t play Clemson. Go Tigers!

Clemson has been off of Arch for awhile. They have Vizzina who is a 5* and Top 10 2023 Qb. Go worry about the coots and mayonnaise Beamer.

Clemson has been off of Arch because Arch eliminated the Tigers not the other way around. However, one thing your coot acting rear end is correct about is Vizzina is a very good QB. I was actually surprised at some of the class shown on this thread, and then the pettiness and ugliness returned.

It was probably Sark's impressive head coaching record: 46 wins - 35 losses? Or maybe it was his 6 straight losses at UT last year, or the 5-7 record? Geez. Yes, I know he has the "offensive mind" reputation, but that seems outweighed by the train wreck head coaching experiences. I'm very surprised the Mannings put an egg in that basket. To your NIL point...Cooper Manning is anything but poor, but he's not Archie or Peyton or Eli wealthy either. You could be right in your assertion, or partially right. I am thinking the NIL offer was probably off the charts at Texas! Texas has more money than any other college team by far, and the big oil money and boosters, plus now they have A&M to keep up with on the NIL trail. Don't fool yourself, Arch is absolutely making bank off this deal. I'd bet he will have more $ than Daddy Cooper off this Longhorn deal!? The kid committing to UT probably bought Sark an extra year or two if he underperforms again this season.

You didn’t even bring up the drinking problem of his past. Conveniently, you’re petty ### also left out that he was hired at Washington to take over a team that didn’t win a game the year before. Also, you conveniently missed a lot of other crap just because you’re the south side of a northbound horse. I wish that Texas had thrown together about 12 mil and hired Dabo because frankly Clemson was Tommy Bowden crap before he arrived and he’s the main reason I’m a big Clemson fan. But, the more you idiots rip my Horns the less I’m starting to like a lot of you Texas fans don’t sit around and slam Clemson all the #### time. Nope, they hate OU and now Venables and Aggys.

No one is ripping your horns. Don't be so sensitive. I've been a horns fan (my second team) since Roosevelt Leaks days. I was vocal that I thought Clemson should've hired a proven head coach when we hired Dabo. Boy was I wrong. I think UT could've hired a more proven head coach too. Perhaps I am wrong again. I see no evidence to suggest Sark's drinking problem is now an issue, so why mention? His heading coaching resume though, is unproven IMO. Everything else this horse's ### said is spot on. UT has more money than they know what to do with. The last I looked their annual revenue was over $30 million more than the next closest college team. That disparity will jump to $50 million or more when they enter the SEC, depending on LHN revenue details. So, UT has $50 million more than the next closest team and you are trashing me for pointing out they could've hired a more proven coach, and that Manning surely will benefit greatly from a big NIL deal? I may be a horse's patoot, but you are one with blinders on both ends! Lighten up. It's a message board to discuss thoughts and opinions. It is ok if we have different thoughts and opinions.

No one’s mad because he didn’t choose Clemson. I understand you may not be a Clemson fan but those of us who are only want guys that truly want to be there. Kids aren’t gonna choose Clemson because they are the highest bidder but the likes of USC, Oregon, Texas, A&M, and other big booster schools are throwing money at these kids. To act like they aren’t is foolish. Hope you enjoyed your time on Tiger Net.

Texas needed Manning
Jun 26, 2022, 11:09 AM
|
|
Clemson did not!
It’s that simple.
With the resources available to the University of Texas it’s amazing that they are a second class football program. Money, amazing fan base and alumni, tremendous recruiting area, big city atmosphere and they haven’t won anything since dirt was invented,
CLEMSON has something that Texas doesn’t have,.... and it ain’t named Manning,
