When I was coaching HS BB, we played against a team that had a 7' player. he was thin as a rail. I wouldn't call him graceful. He did pretty well at the HS level . . but hey, at 7' !!! He did play ball in college, but it was a small school and I don't remember which one. It's difficult to pick kids that will succeed at college, I understand that, They all look great against other HS kids. So you ignore that and look for fundamentals, measurables. But everyone gets sucked in . .because you CAN NOT teach height.

if you're a coot and you're a hater i can accept that because losers love company. But to get on here a dog out a kid that is probably 17 years old just for accepting and committing to Clemson is a douchey mentality that i wish would go away. Screw you if you hate on a kid that wants to play for Brownell! Go somewhere else and spread your misery. Its still Clemson.
I may not always love everything we do as a basketball team but to sit on here and bash everything "clemson basketball" seems you don't understand what supporting Clemson athletics is... I get tired of also how easily we bash Tommy B on this site and as Clemson fans. He was still a Clemson coach that didn't spurn us for another team. He was let go.. but he's not some enemy or anything. But we treat that dude like he's Benedict Arnold. why? Where did that stupid attitude come from?
There is a faction of new Clemson fans that i just don't understand. You just complain just to complain. And one day I assume you'll be talking crap about Dabo. Constructive criticism is fine. But bashing anything positive is just dumb.

I remember watching Aamir Simms as he took the floor as a freshman. He was talented, but he sure wasn't built then as he was his last 3 years. Ben's a rail right now, but give him some time in the CU weight room and with the CU Dietician. He'll fill out in all of the right ways. He's 17! Good Lord, he's still growing!

The profile I saw him lists him as 6’10” and 215 lbs. that seems to be more what he looks like in the picture of him.

A lot of times that weight was measured at a Nike or other shoe AAU event when he was a sophmore before his recruiting took off really.
Also the Rivals write up I posted probably shows the two other school who really wanted him to reclassify for 2021. Dayton and Ole Miss are no slouches. Most of those offers from high majors were for the next 2022 class. He was expectrd to really blow up in the recrutment in next cycle..

Committing to Clemson must have caused a growth spurt. When I read last night about his commitment his reported height was 6'- 10". In today's Seneca Journal he's listed as 6'-11". At this rate of growth just imagine how tall he will be when he enrolls at Clemson.
