Any insight on how Streeter was informed? Was he out

Recruiting and told to come back for what ever reason? Or was he fired after returning from Orange Bowl but everything was just kept on the DL?

I imagine he was escorted by armed guards and forcefully removed from campus

That really is none of our business. I am sure that whatever happened hurt Streeter deeply. He doesn’t need our noses in his business right now. Let’s move along and leave it alone.

No idea but I’ll give my uneducated opinion. Previous articles and sources mentioned heated and fiery meetings. My guess would be that Dabo, as any business owner/CEO would do, had an end of year “this is where we are” meeting. Dabo placed some things at Streeter’s feet, Streeter disagreed, back and forth happens, and eventually Dabo makes the decision to move on.

How he was informed is really between he and Dabo. However, it’s very curious he has not come out with a statement of his own, or if he did I missed. I would expect “I will always be grateful to Clemson University, Dabo Swinney and Tommy Bowden for the opportunities to be a part of such a great university…. “. He can use that if he wishes. He may still be reeling.

Think about how Dabo treats people, always respectful.

Now think about how he would treat someone who has been through the battles with him, up the mountain, to the top, down the mountain. When you let decide to unemploy someone, it’s always personal, always honest, and always with respect. Especially when it’s one your brothers. So draw your own conclusions.
I’m sure Street knew it was likely considering our offenses severe lack of consistency.

I think Dabo reviews all aspects of coaching the team and I believe he meets with all the coaches individually and evaluates them. I would guess that during or after this meeting he made his decision and told Streeter in person.

David Hood reported the following, so you can connect some dots from this in my view.

“We heard that there was a coaches' meeting last Saturday. I heard the word “testy” used, but another word I heard last night was “feisty” and that person said, “And don’t make any mistakes, it was Dabo that was feisty. Nobody else.”
“I was on the phone with someone close to the situation last night and I was told that this has been in the works for longer than people think (since last Saturday? Will be interesting to find out). And they said, “If you’ve known Dabo Swinney long enough, you know he doesn’t do anything by the seat of his pants. There is always a plan for everything.” -David Hood

Maybe Streeter was told up front that he was given the job with the contingency that he turn things around and maybe Streeter realized what was coming.
At least Streeter gets a severance of almost $2 million to ease his distress.
I was fortunate that I succeeded (just barely) … but if I hadn’t, I would have had no such golden parachute.
Bottom line … Brandon Streeter will be just fine financially while he patiently awaits his next career opportunity.

He probably had his secretary call him in. “Mr. Streeter, Mr Swinney will see you now.” Once Streeter went in and sat down Dabo said “You’re fired!”, or maybe I’m confusing this with a TV show.

The secretaries were called in this weekend. That's all you need to know.
