that the staff plans to coach up. He for the most part has no football resume but appears to have the physical tools to work with. We're working on a pretty strong recruiting group this go-round !

He just started playing football last year, his Junior year. Was a basketball player with a tough mentality. Great athlete. Will be as good of athlete as any on the team. Sometimes a guy like this is a plus. He has no bad habits to undo when he gets to Clemson. His height and weight is legit.

We're kind of in a position to have our pick of all the quality, polished and gem-cut diamonds.
I trust the evals, but it's still a risk. This is the kind of pick-up I'd love in a full-class year but not so much when numbers are this tight.
Basketball tells me he can probably run routes and definitely catch but those TEs are a dime a dozen. We have plenty of experience with those guys that we were going to teach and coach up to love and be good at blocking.

I have total faith in our staff. They've proven themselves when it comes to finding overlooked talent. They must really see something special there with the limited openings we have next year.

If you check his film though it is short, shows excellent foot work, body control and a legitimate 4 down tight end. He is more polished than Jordan when he came in from an athletic stand point. He might not reach the weight. But he will be taller and faster. I trust the staff knew his recruitment is going to shoot through the roof next year. Just simply compare him to the other top rated TE in the class. He simply is a DIAMOND in the rough with a very high ceiling. Not to mention at this point and time, Jordan and Braden have the same vertical and shuttle time.
