Another problem with ATT Uverse/ Direct TV

Not only do Uverse subscribers face the possibility that there will be no ACCN (...we'll see, but time grows short) - but giant takeover media gangster outfit (#1) "Nexstar Media" which owns WSPA Channel 7 & at least another 170 TV stations nationwide - has been at total war with giant takeover media gangster outfit (#2) ATT (Uverse & Direct TV) since July 3.
The war rages on and it's plenty ugly. The result around here and lots more across the country is that CBS affiliate WSPA (& many stations nationwide) went DARK & have disappeared from Uverse & Direct TV.
I personally hate CBS as a network, but we usually have 1 or 2 Clemson games each year on CBS. Now with no WSPA, those who have Uverse or Direct TV will either lose CU games on the ACCN - OR CBS - or both.
Nexstar & ATT might never resolve the conflict. It's like the old Prohibition gangster wars in the 1920s. These too crooked media behemoths hate each others' guts!

only thing on CBS I will miss is The Masters in April. If they aren't back by then I'll have to buy an antenna. The rest of their programming...I don't miss one bit. Even SEC games and NFL, bleh.
They think they are alot more important to us than they really are.

We stream Directv Now and lost CBS. I found an old antenna in storage, and hooked it up to the tv, and it comes through just as clear (if not better) than my streaming does. It's a pain having to switch the source every time, but for a sporting event, you probably won't be changing the channel much anyway.

His local CBS affiliate station carries Raycom games. Not the CBS sports broadcast.

There ya go. I think the Raycom thing is correct - - or I'm thinking of another season when maybe CU/Auburn was on CBS - couple of years back.

Have you noticed that Uverse also dropped the NFL channel?
No CBS, no NFL Network, no ACC Nettwork and I'm done.

I'm in Charlotte and we haven't lost CBS here on Uverse.
Just give it time...Uverse tends to wait until last minute to finalize deals. WOuldn't be surpised if they are stretching it to try to get customers to switch to DirectTV, then they add it very last minute to Uverse after they've bleed as much over as they can.
