close the deal with a lot of in-state guys.
Must be the whole "grass is greener on the other side" type thing except SCar has done a good job of keeping them in-state.
Who knows. Goes in cycles I guess.

I laugh when these kids say ... "I grew up a Clemson fan..." Obviously he was a bandwagon fan.
I am not bashing the kid but I think they say those things sometime because that is what they think they are supposed to say.
If I grew up a Clemson fan and got that offer there is no way I commit to another school

Exactly, he was just a ban wagoner. His friends must have been strong Clemson fans, and he had a need to belong with them. If not so, why would he turn on what he claimed to be a part of. If he would have been a real Clemson fan, he would have felt he was a part of something great, as Clemson Nation. And he wouldn't have went any where other than Clemson. If his heart wasn't in being a real Clemson man, we lost nothing!!!

be recruited and Clemson came calling, it would take a lot for me not to go there. If I had God given talent like Clowney, Boyd or Watkins, I'd keep it a secret and pretend I was going somewhere like USC and then on signing day, I'd flip the switch and don the best color there is, ORANGE...CLEMSON ORANGE.
