Lavert was all over him. Did everything but foul. How was it bad D?

All over him ? respectfully disgree....defender overplayed

to his left, when there was nowhere for the ballhandler to go , ...ballhandler was blocked on his right by his own player and the other defender covering him , ...there was not enough time for him to go around them , and if he had gone behind them to shoot, he would have been shooting a far deeper shot.....the only spot he could have shot from was the spot where he took it, and the defender gave him a good look ....defender made good effort to recover , but the shot was off by the time he was jumping ...that was the kind of shot where I would say " jump, fish " as I was shooting it ...lol

Wrong on that assessment... Levert cutoff the dribble/drive into the lane for a higher percentage shot. There was no need for Ky to shoot a three because the game was tied, Ky had possession and could hold for the final shot. The fact that the Ky guy stepped back and hit the shot despite the defensive recovery is due to the Ky players determination to take the shot as opposed to Levert playing bad defense. Levert played good D twice in that sequence, we just have to give credit where credit is due... and I truly wanted michigan to win, now I have hear the potential all sec championship game talk down here in Columbia... I'm now hoping for a Uconn, Wisconsin final...

I respectfully think you are wrong, but we can agree to disagree....there was no lane for him to go to ..too much of a crowd..defender not aware of what was around him ...I aint blaming the loss on him , and I gave credit to the ky for hitting a big time three...but ky player did not have to force it and he got a good look ...all because the defender gave him too much room when there was otherwise no room to go ....

But he did overplay to his left which put him out of position when ky player started his shot. Gotta give that ky player credit for taking a 3 tied up in the last ten seconds. Big time play by that kid

we both are right ..I give KY guy all the credit ...he recognized what had happened real quick and took advantage, hitting a big time three , ...not a force shot, he had time and a good look , and boom....
