Makes insignificant seem massive...Black Hole Eviction

Nothing I've ever read has emphasized how simply overwhelming the universe is. That a star is hurled through the galaxy at over 3 million mph (less than one-half of one percent the speed of light), on a journey of 5 million years to date...and will take another 100 million years before simply exiting the Milky Way is incomprehensibly staggering. And to know there are billions of stars within just our galaxy...and an estimated 2 TRILLION galaxies totaling more stars than all the grains of sand on this planet can't be fathomed.
Just a Sunday night 'wonder moment'. Back to regularly scheduled boredom...oops...programming! https://scitechdaily.com/milky-ways-supermassive-black-hole-flings-star-away-at-6000000-km-h/ Milky Way’s Supermassive Black Hole Flings Star Away at 6,000,000 km/h An international study has discovered a star traveling at more than six million km/h through the Milky Way after being flung from the center of our galaxy by a supermassive black hole. The eviction occurred about five million years ago, around the time when our ancestors were just learning to wal

Space is just too big and weird to comprehend. It’s cool, but even the smartest people alive don’t really understand what is going on out there. That’s why I stick to football.

To me the most mind boggling fact I have ever heard was a scientist that estimated there are 100 stars in the universe per grain of sand on the earth's surface. Wrap your head around that one....

And the Milky Way approximately 150 billion to, perhaps, 250 billion stars. So, there's a star in the galaxy for every soul who ever walked the planet....and for thousands of years to come...not that I'm optimistic of mankind lasting that long! Bottle that!

And had technology beyond our own there’s not actually anyway we could tell because of how many hundreds of millions of years ago it was.
Whatever is on this planet in 100 million years will have no idea the extent of our civilization.
