Sooner or later, the NFL will call their hand on all these "void years", and other book keeping shenanigans that take away the intent of the salary cap, which was to spread the wealth of talent. Seems the rich just get richer, the usual suspects sign the major talent, and the others just scuffle along.

You get drafted....do well even after battling through injury.....then they release you to try to comply with the salary cap.
They are going to regret releasing Mike Williams. Unique skill-sets are hard to come by.

That would be great, but I can't see that happening bc they have already stated that they needed to improve their O line, and there is just so much money that a NFL team has when it comes to making the changes that the Jags want to make...
