I think Tik-Tok has created a real-world Lord of the Flies. A magical world where teens, who should be kept isolated in the care of family units until they develop, are allowed to congregate electronically and run about in large groups, unfettered by adult guidance, reality, or common sense.
Mrs. Fordt deals with this phenomenon every day on the playground. Like the time she had to break up a fist fight between two factions arguing over if the moon was made of cheese or not. Or the riot over who got to take the bathroom cockroach home with them, or the great apple juice is made of pee controversy. We might not make it as a species. Sometimes, we don't deserve to.
