really gave Texas and Kavan any trouble. It really could have been us.
Going from a 3-6 start and finishing as one of the best teams in the nation is quite a jump. The future looks bright.

Alot of handwringing after the 3 and 6 start, but they acquitted themselves nicely. Looking forward to next season, who replaces Moore, Brown, and Vierra?

And Basinger, McCubbin. Lot of talent going out but we said the same last year. The young players looked good this year and if Rittman can pull a couple top transfers, we should still be solid.

Think they will be good in the circle. Cintron, Duncan and the incoming freshmen will be a formidable staff. Brown was good from the lead off position, but I think Brokenbrough steps in there. It will be interesting to see who replaces Moore at 2nd, and her production as a hitter. Pipkins may be the answer there. Vieira's defense will be a huge loss; she was listed as the only C on the roster this past year. I do think Minish was her backup. That may be a spot where Rittman looks in the portal.

Stand corrected. Riley Burton and Abi Stuart were catchers, but Stuart has exhausted eligibility.

It will be interesting to see if we can pull off some transfers. A catcher, pitcher, and a high-end infielder, I'd think, will be high on Rittman's transfer list. Pipkins has turned into a great outfielder. Will she move to 2B? She did play there earlier this year when Moore was suspended. Will Collins move over to 3B, possibly leaving room for a mid-infield transfer duo? Cintron is the only pitcher we have with any real experience, so a transfer to complement the highly touted incoming freshman would be a great get. I don't know how we'll replace Vierra; she has been such a rock for this team.
Ready for next year!

Yeah. That too. Those first two weeks had people's nerves tore up thinking the Tigers were going to be lucky to finish .500. Glad they stayed the course, and didn't listen to all the negative vibes.

They really finished strong. Just one more strong pitcher in the rotation and I think we could've gone all the way. The same two-pitcher combo will only take you so far, though, unfortunately.

Lexi Hames is the real deal. Her velo in 23 was hitting fastball at 68. But it's not her velo (even though I think Kyle and crash can increase it some) , it's more like bess or cubbin in that she can hit her spots with her curve, drop, fastball, throws a mean riser. She should get of pt.
Think she and Cintron were on the same traveling club. Cintron definitely the better hitter but Lexi definitely the better pitching. We good.

Hitting spots is the most important part of FP, with spin being the 2nd. Velo is great, but if you leave it in the wheelhouse, it is going to get crushed. Brooke had a problem with hitting her spots early in the season. When she was on and hitting her spots, she was a different pitcher. IMO, Valerie leaned on the drop ball a little too often. Would have liked to see more upspin pitches to complement her drop and change. Would've loved for her to have played with this group.
Can't wait to see Lexi, Maddie and the rest of this freshman class on the diamond.

Agree whole heartily. Just look at Basinger. She maybe topped at 65mph, but she had incredible spin on everything she threw. It would have been fun to see Cagle play with this past group. They would not have had to overuse her in the circle, and her bat in that lineup would have been epic. In my opinion, this was the best offensive team Rittman has had. That's saying alot after losing Clark, Logoleo, and Cagle.

Yepp...just like Cagle being 1 strike away from beating OK, leaving the winning run on 3rd with nobody out was another tough one to swallow. Who knows what could've happen OKC. Talent was there, situational coaching wasn't.
