ATHENS - Georgia is losing yet another defensive back, but this time the result is it's gaining another receiver.
Brendan Langley, who started four games last year at cornerback, is moving to receiver, head coach Mark Richt confirmed to Dawgs247.com on Monday.
Langley will be a sophomore this fall. He began last season as the starter, but was benched after the fourth game in favor of fellow freshman Shaq Wiggins. Langley finished the season with 12 tackles and two pass break-ups in nine games.
Wiggins decided to transfer last week. Georgia also lost safety-star Josh Harvey-Clemons, who was the team's third-leading tackler, then dismissed from the team in February.
This leaves rising senior Damian Swann as the team's lone cornerback with more than one start under his belt. Aaron Davis, a walk-on freshman, was a first-team cornerback
But Georgia's depth at receiver has also been a concern, especially after this season, when it will have three seniors (Michael Bennett, Chris Conley, Jonathon Rumph) and redshirt junior Malcolm Mitchell, who could be a candidate to go pro.

Langley is listed at 6-foot-1 and 181 pounds, and played some receiver in high school.

I'm looking for Williams, Peake, Humphries, Hopper and the 3 young WRs to make an impact. Also people shouldn't sleep on our TEs. By all accounts Leggett is stepping up in a huge way and will be a huge factor. Cooper is reliable if not flashy and the same can be said for Seckinger.

Would be more concerning for them if they lost somebody in their front 7. I can't see Clemson thinking it's going to sling the ball all over the field with a first year starter and young receivers in the first game at Athens.

Stoudt came in in quite a few spots and played againts first string defenses. Granted, it was never for many extended plays; but hwen he did he was always successful.

A lot of focus has been placed on Kitt, Preister and Scott because they were all highly rated and came in early and because of the departure of Sammy and Bryant.
However don't forget about Peake, who had a very good game against UGA last year, Humphries, Williams and Hopper. All four have a good bit of game experience under their belts and I look for them to carry the load against UGA until the young bucks get used to the game

Yes he is....along with the projected # 1 LBer corps in the SEC. They will give that piece-meal Oline Morris will put together that 1st saturday fits. You won't have the depth to run that hurry up to perfection. Oh, and this one's being played on our turf....something that most of you aren't concerned about in the slightest. You're not playing @ Wake Forest that weekend. I'm expecting 4-5 TO's from your offense.

Have I not spoken the truth? W/O starter Beasley and projected starter Anthony your Oline is going to be very thin....in depth and experience. I'm expecting Stoudt to be running for his life all day. Pruitt is going to bring the heat. We can't allow Stoudt to get comfortable back there.
