Muschamp "obviously" accouses CU OL of racist statements

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina coach Will Muschamp said he believes his players who claim that a racial slur was used on the field at Clemson during last week's rivalry game.
Muschamp said Sunday that several of his players told him they heard it and "obviously, there was a racial slur" used in the game.
Gamecocks linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams alleged a Clemson offensive lineman used the slur as the teams briefly scuffled during warm-ups but was unable to identify who.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said the day after his team's 56-7 victory over South Carolina that his players told him it did not happen.
"I believe my guys," Swinney said. "That's all there is to say about it."
Muschamp was angry his players had to deal with that but told them to act with class.

Muschamp, Coots, and the word "Class" lol that's just funny. They know they lying, they tried their lil pregame mind games and it backfired tremendously. Its just gone to far where they can't back off of it now. Losers.

It's not unusual for a player to not know an opposing player by name but it is most unusual for a player not to recognize a number printed on the players jersey. Are the Usuck players so dumb they are unable to read numbers as well as a five year old? Probably are!
No way a guy calls you a disrespectful name and you not at least remember the jersey number. It didn't happen! Nice try muscoot?

He really doesn't know who he's messing with...It's obvious that Muscoot doesn't respect our rivalry. If he keeps saying shiz like this he will never beat Clemson.

You can not write the word Class in the same article with Carolina. They don't equate. Muschamp needs to realize he will never have the same credibility as Dabo on the National stage and he is just continuing his "whinny" little team rant.

Obviously a lie told by one of their players who said he heard it, but it seems that nobody else did. Funny that muschump told his "players" to act with class. That is FUNNY!

believe all our players are above making a racial slur. I don't believe all Carolina's players are above making it up.

First, it was during the game. Then, was a fan. Now, in pre-game scuffle

If you are going to tell a lie, at least keep your story straight! Also, if in the pre-game, how does he know it was an O-lineman but doesn't know who or his number? The only thing "obvious" is a Usuc player trying to deflect attention away from their poor-asss performance with some crazy #####. He is probably the very one who started the pre-game scuffle. Since no one else heard it, did he whisper it in his ear??

class - matching that of the university he represents. This is all about the classless act of him trying to manufacture a controversy to use as a recruiting advantage. That man is going to follow all the others ahead of him at the coach's graveyard called USC(jr) football.

Obviously this is a ploy to have something to use when recruiting players. It seems every coach they hire wants to start some sort of controversy with Clemson as soon as they arrive on campus, if they can find the campus. The time has come for us to quit referring to the shamecocks by name and start referring to them as the team to the southeast, much like OSU refers to Michigan as the team to the North.

Wonder what Muschamp would do if a law suit is filed against him? Keeps this talk up, and I could see it happening. Needs to be able to identify the individual (s) or just shut his mouth. Typical coot talk, so why doesn't he just shut his mouth.

The story is a moving target. At first it was tweeted as an OL during scuffle(no jerseys and no white OL types). Then it was from a fan not a player. Then it was OL (jersey on) during the game. Dabo replied to the first allegation, Muschamp called him out based on third version.
The journalists reporting on this is right out of the NY Times! Can't anyone check a fact!

They stole a page from Joseph Goebbels and the "Big Lie."
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State (sic - the State newspaper?) can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State (again!) to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Amen!

Instead of living in the fairytale past, muschump should probably start breaking down film on South Florida unless his New Years wish is to get embarrassed again in the nobody-gives-a-crap bowl on 12/29

"Obviously"? 20 guys yelling at each other and only 1 guy

hears this. We must have the quietest offense lineman in the nation and BAW must have super hearing powers. You get beat down and this is how you respond? Even the coach keeps it alive? What a joke of player, coach and program. Way to take it like a man guys. Next time you play at DV we will be sure to have you a change of panties in your locker room.

Prove it, or it didn't happen. And, shut up if you can't.

If that many players heard something, at least one was mad enough to look in the direction and find out who did it. Wouldn't you think? And, was it the players or the fans? One day it was the players, the next it was the fans, now it's back to the players.

Just make the accusation, then go on about your business. How many times have we heard the President Elect being called racist with no actual proof? Nevermind calling the entire voting base racist/sexist/xenophobic/homophobic who casted a ballot for him. Trash. Complete and utter trash.

If this BS is that dbag's biggest priority then USF has nothing to worry about, if they did before. Ignore the whole issue for the manure that it is and move on.

Clemson's players need to come together to put this to bed
Dec 5, 2016, 5:54 PM
|
|
They need to step out all together to say
that someone has confessed or that it didn't happen.
Dabo can't help them here - this is a charge against the maturity of the team.
This is going to linger until the players come out en masse as one.
IF someone said something, then the black players on the team
are going to have to step out in support of that person
and fix things behind closed doors.
Time to be real men, gentlemen.

Barely a full season under his belt in cooterville & he's already been steeped in that loser culture down there. Lotsa bumping their gums off the field & getting their heads knocked around on it. Keep talking Muschamp.

Where is 1 freaking journalist asking the right questions?
Dec 5, 2016, 7:01 PM

Gee ciachvCkenson only has a handful of white O linemen so have you asked your guy to look at the roster and ID him and then call coach Swinney?
Dabo was right. The media is not accountable and worse exhibits complicity by not doing a basic job of investigative journalism.
