will out do every acc team by 35 million bucks per year...so cool we make the play offs and only get out monied by 25 million that year..the fact that the conference is having to do unequal revenue deals says it all about the awful state of the conference.

It won't eliminate the gap, but if we make the NCAAT - yeah, I know - that would be some million more. Make the NCAA baseball tourney, then that is some more.
I also remember reading somewhere a year or two ago, the ACC deal will increase over time, as it has thus far, so that it will be worth millions more by 2029, I think it was. I have a vague recollection of $60 million. Could be wrong about that, although I think it is correct the number goes up each year.

this arrangement sounds like the tv money will not be affected for anyone. The extra money will come from what you earn by winning. So the fact that FSU and Clemson rank in the top schools in the nation in viewership be ######. We will still earn the same tv money and work on commission for any extra funds. Wow, that's what all of this was for. I hope this is not the case, but knowing the ACC and the schools in it, it probably is the case.

Well since Clemson hasn't been in the playoff since 2020 would not have helped much last two years. Better make the CFP if you want to get more coins.

If Clemson, FSU, Miami etc settle for this garbage, they ALL need to fall into mediocrity.

So everything that has been reported and discussed for the past 24 hours was bull s### and fake news??
So Clemson and FSU will fold and be “happy” with a few extra million in the ACC, while Vandy and Rutgers will make more than them in the B10 and SEC? Okay. That should go well.

An extra $10 million doesn’t move the needle and doesn’t benefit Clemson enough.

They get to keep their own money from being the best of the ACC. The ole ‘taxation without representation” model is not the answer. If WF or BC wants to get paid… then go earn it on the field.

The problem isn't how ACC money is distributed,
May 16, 2023, 7:16 PM
|
|
it's what the ACC in its current configuration is able to generate as a whole. Football, the breadwinner, has been greatly watered down with too many half full and lifeless stadiums on all those Saturday pay days. We've saddled programs people want to see play each other with a bunch of stale fluff. No divisions upcoming will provide some spark, but it can't bridge the difference in the longer run unless we split our football programs up into like divisions that field many more games per year that people tune in for, and concentrate those that don't together alongside. As this sounds today, we're simply taking away from some to feed others and doing nothing to make the whole pie bigger.

But these are the same schools that agreed to the GOR in the first place. So hopefully we’re not stupid enough to believe that 10million actually helps. It’s a drop in the bucket. Even IF we make the playoff we get an additional 10 million. That’s still 25 million less.

You can't get blood from a turnip and the ACC can't magically generate more revenue, which is why it's time to wish them the best, part ways, and do what is n the best interest of Clemson University.
