Charleston and DC coming up June 26-29. They are bringing their daughters, so ManacJr. and I are flying the coup and doing our own thing. The plan is this.
1) Fly to Dallas/Fort Worth 2) Go to PBR Bull Riding event at the Cowtown Coliseum 3) Stay in Fort Worth that night 4) Get up and go to Stockyards and see the real working cowboys and the longhorns. 5) Go to Cowboy Stadium and do a self-guided tour, you can throw football on the field, see locker rooms, etc. (not a Cowboys fan, but any football fan would have fun with this) 6) Stay downtown Dallas in a nice hotel with pool (and bar for dad) 7) Get up and fly back home.
I think this plan has good legs and could be amazing fun.
Thoughts? Anything you would add to the list?

Just cruising to a beach and swimming. Probably throw the glide bait around for an hour or so.

I doubt Forth Worth is quite as rough as it used to be, but still avoid giving anybody there a hard time. They may like to fight.

Barbeque and more barbeque. We went to Dallas a few years ago for the thanksgiving day game against Washington and ate like freed hostages. One place we went was called Hard Eight (no kidding). Everything was A la carte and we were in heaven. The food was amazing.

fly out to Denver and take him to see Panic at Red Rocks.
I'm not the biggest fan of Dallas, so I'm a little biased. But as a young kid, I think he'd probably enjoy that. Especially the throwing the ball on the field at Jerry World.
