Only appropriate, since Ol' Slow Joe was the primary one to take them away.
Thousands of young black men can thank Joe for having felonies on their records that were nothing more than cumulative misdemeanors.

I'm not understanding why a discussion with VP Harris on this topic is necessary.

There are really only 3 possible reactions to this story: 1 - Regardless of your political views, you say, wow, what a cool experience for one of our Clemson Tigers, speaking directly to the VP of the USA at the White House 2 - You scroll on past and don't get involved 3 - You are so ignorant that you forget what this post is all about, a Clemson Tiger, and instead get defensive and start running your mouth off about politics.
It's sad to see how many people choose 3.
Pinion was a great player for us, and has to be one of a very select number of punters to leave a year of college eligibility on the table AND get drafted. I believe he was the only punter drafted in 2015.
He's taking time out of HIS life to address an issue HE finds important. And apparently his voice is big enough that he was able to speak to the second highest official in the United States.
Get over your politics and remember what this board is about. Congrats to Bradley for getting the ring and being held in high enough regard to be able to speak to the VP, regardless of what party is currently in office.
Go Tigers

It’s okay to view it as a neat opportunity for a former Tiger, while also thinking it sounds like kind of a waste of time politically.
Also, if discussion around this topic isn’t encouraged, then perhaps it shouldn’t have been posted by TigerNet.com on its message board.

Judge Keller®
YOU didn't have to click on the link in the first place. YOU didn't have to waste your time replying.
Again, the point of the original post was to mention an opportunity that a former Tiger had at the White House. It was literally 1 sentence in length. It doesn't mention any specific policies, or even a single detail about what's being discussed outside of 'voting rights.' Your comment about it being a waste of time is just that, a waste of time. A waste of your time typing it. A waste of my time reading it.
This is a Clemson sports site, not some forum for people to go on an on about politics. No one should be encouraging anyone to debate their personal politics on this site, and if that is the point, the site should be renamed.
You have no idea what my political leanings even are, although I'm sure you've assumed.
No doubt you'll have a gang of other 'posters' on this board get all riled up about this - I've just gone back and read through some of the other responses. All I can say is, keep it to sports.
Out of over 30 replies to this post, I only see 2-3 that even mention 1 single thing about Clemson or Bradley.
You're telling me that's the type of discussion Tigernet.com is promoting? If that's the case then count me out. I'm here to keep up on Clemson athletics news.
Lowcntry_Tiger®outlaw1081 and the rest of you who want to turn this into a political debate - take it to the Fox News forums, please.

I don’t think TigerNet sought a political debate when they posted the story.

But they surely knew that it could turn into a political debate.
I’m not looking for a political debate either, but I am going to chime in when others have this ridiculous attitude that everything a Tiger or former Tiger says or does is 100% perfect. I get it, we all respect and support our own, but that doesn’t mean that their opinions and actions must be rubber stamped with everyone’s full seal of approval.
I don’t know details of what Bradley Pinion’s White House trip entailed. I’m happy for him to have had the opportunity to go. I applaud him for speaking up for what he feels is important. And I also have my doubts that a meeting with a far left VP to discuss “voting rights” is going to be a good use of time - at least in my opinion.

You do know that Delaware, Biden's home state, and New York have more restrictive voting laws than Texas or Georgia, etc. that these idiots are complaining about, right?
You do know these states passing new voting laws are NOT restricting anyone's right or ability to vote, right? All they are doing is limiting the insane abuses crafted under Covid.
It's like abortion. When Texas was talking about limiting abortion to 20 weeks the Dems had their hair on fire. You do realize nearly every country in Europe limits abortion to 12 or 13 weeks. And Europe is far more liberal and secular than America.
You can't function in the modern world without a photo ID. Over 60 percent of blacks and hispanics support voter ID and are against illegal immigration.
Liberals are the racists for treating blacks like stupid little children that can't survive big bad racist Merica without your help! Why are you so racist? Why do you think blacks are helpless and dumb?
How do intelligent folks like you get so dumb and brainwashed by obvious lies and propaganda?
Why do you like voter fraud? Illegal immigration? Killing babies? Why do you support censorship?
FYI Canada and Mexico require government issued photo ID's to vote. In fact, almost every country does. France does not have mail in voting because it's impossible to ensure voting integrity with mail in voting.
People like you are either stupid, ignorant, willfully ignorant, brainwashed, or all of the above.
Why do so many people of color come to America if it's so racist? Why are they so successful if America is so racist? If America is so bad why don't people of color leave?
You're full of #### and you know it!!!

any proof that you are who you say you are.
Oh - and he's hopeful that your voting rights include the possibility that someone can knock on your door with a pre-filled out absentee ballot, so that all you have to do is sign it.

So are we talking about the November 8th election of 2020 in which Trump won, or the one that occurred overnight on the 9th in which he lost . Because I’m guessing by the fact that biden received about 98% of the overnight vote, every sum beech who is liberal got a chance to vote .
As noted earlier, Pinions obviously virtue signaling and wants illegals who are being flown into red states on my dime to be allowed to vote. It’s actually a great plan

Soooooo, let's see if I understand this:
Unless a person of color is allowed to drop an unrequested absentee ballot into an unmonitored drop box without ever having their signature verified, their "sacred" right to vote has been violated.
Somehow the same prohibition is NOT a violation of a white person's right to vote.
BTW, I don't remember any Ds crying last year when citizens were denied their right to worship--you know, that "sacred" foundational right that has preceded the right to vote for almost all classes of Americans.
