lose? I don't want UGa to win, necessarily, but I'm tired of Bama this and Bama that and the dynasty and all this mess. I don't have a lot of UGa friends, but, unlike most of you, apparently, my few friends who are UGa fans aren't obnoxious or jerks. And I don't live in Georgia, so that helps.
Honestly, I really don't care who wins or loses. I don't hate either team, and I don't like either team. I'm just tired of Alabama, Go Bama, Roll Tide, and all that crap. And I always like to see little Nicky beaten by one of his former coaches.
I will probably watch at least some of it, definitely won't watch all of it, and ultimately don't care.
I still predict that this will be the lowest rated CFP final yet. People are just tired of seeing the same two teams so frequently - one reason that I think our down year may actually help us. It gave everyone a break from all the hype that ESPN dishes out and will recast us as comeback kids. Maybe.

No fan base is as arrogant as the U of SC.
And to have so little to show (empty trophy case), it is ridiculous. All they have is wimin basketball, which I can't watch. Those fans would likely not care about it at all, if they weren't winning. Most colleges don't care about winins basketball, except UCONN, thus it is easy to standout.
That said, I don't care who wins tonight. Slight lean to UGA

Usually arrogance is a sign of insecurity. For example, politicians, Democrats, College Professors, Gamecock Fans...........most use arrogance as a shield for their own known short comings. Coots actually wrote the book on it!

Up listening to Georgia’s obnoxious fans or has ever been to a game in Athens is a big Bama fan tonight.
I hate for Bama to win another one but we have historically had more head to head recruiting battles with Georgia given their close proximity

I just cannot find myself pulling for Georgia, it is like pulling for the Coots. Their fans are the worst of the worst and too have to hear SEC, SEC from ALL the SEC schools makes me want to puke. So I will be hoping Bama will win. I have NEVER heard the crying from my Bama friends as I have from Georgia (The Coots from Ga.)
I will not be watching as my college season basically ended with the Cheez-it Bowl, like many others on this Board. So I will hold my nose while saying, ROLL TIDE.
Go Clemson in 2022!!!!!!!!!!!!

You see that all the time. Pros hanging on until they surpass some record, Bobby Bowden trying to hang on past Joe Pa, etc. Saban wanted to pass the Bear in total Championships and now Saban wants to pass the Bear in Championships won at Bama. After that there’s nothing to prove. Except maybe John Wooden’s record, but I don’t see Saban winning 7 in a row.

college football" If Georgia were to win. Total domination by one entity in ANY sport leads to fan apathy and tuneouts.
I will use NASCAR as an example. They didn't hit their zenith until AFTER Dale Earnhardt had won several championships. Why? Because, all of a sudden, along came this brash young Jeff Gordon kid, who had the unmitigated gall to BEAT Earnhardt, repeatedly. That rivalry is what drove their ratings through the roof at the time. Compare that to later on, when milquetoast Jimmy Johnson was winning everything, with no real sustained rival, interest in Nascar tanked.
Right now, Bama is the same way. To recapture the interest of the casual fan, they need a real rival. Or a cast of them, to keep them from winning every other year.
Butt, c'mon, I have to root for GEORGIA to beat them? Nahhhh, ROLL TIDE!

Earnhardt, and it just does not look like it should have been a major deal. This must be because I am a layman, because Ol' Darrell Waltrip knew right away it had the potential to be serious.
You are right, a BIG portion of Nascar died that day. It just doesn't seem right that Dale Earnhardt never got to live out his days as an "Elder Statesman" of the sport, like Richard Petty.

No, I am actually pulling more for Alabama to lose than Georgia to win. If I had it my way they would play to the 00:03 mark of the 4th quarter scoreless and whichever team had the ball last kick a a field goal to win. 3-0

Bama remains the premier program win or lose but if Georgia wins we probably fall behind them and it was tough enough with them being an under achieving program.

If Bama wins, it's status quo and doesn't really change much. If UGA wins, it may actually even improve their ability to recruit, which is a scary thought.
Since we have a slightly higher likelihood of recruiting against UGA than Bama, I think it's better if Bama wins. What does the umpteenth championship for Bama do for recruiting vs the umpteenth - 1 (nothing at all)?
also - I know a bunch of UGA adult fans, however I only know a couple that are decent, non-ahole, non-barking at children, fans

I hate UGA almost as much as I hate USC. The Chickens are at the top of my hate list, but UGA is a close 2nd. I hope they choke and our recruiters use that against them. They will always be the little brother in the SEC.
