And you want so badly to politicize an atrocity. That's what we're seeing out of some posters here.
I was on this board during 9/11 and the years following. I don't think it's a stretch to call this Israel's 9/11. At first following 9/11, this board was unified. We're all in it together. #### the bad guys.
But over time, some posters couldn't stand the unity. They wanted to see how much they could needle others, falsely labeling people so they could start conflict and confrontation. RPMcMurphy and xtiger were veterans of this back then and two of the few remnants from those days. But their tactics haven't changed. Throw in folks like Keowee, and we're seeing the same old bull ####.
YES, we know there are some ###### people and politicians who aren't siding with Israel, or they're suggesting support for Palestine over them. We get that. They suck.
These people are NOT on this board. This board has been completely pro-Israel following this tragedy. Go ahead. Name one poster on this board who has shown support for Hamas. Or tried to be sympathetic with Palestine over this.
Oh yeah. You can name one. Charleston Tom. That's it. The fringe conspiracy right wing nutjob is the only one doing this. Yet... the people who want constant confrontation are ignoring him.
After that, you can't name a single poster who doesn't support Israel in this matter. But that doesn't stop stupidity like Keowee's when he finds a random fringe Dems and claims that anyone here who is a "lib" (which means they don't agree 100 percent with Keowee's dumb view of the world) shares the same views as them.
If we've recognized that this board is almost unanimously on Israel's side in this, why are some of you still trying so hard to make it a political fight and argument?
At the end of the day, some of you just want to start a big battle over this atrocity because you can't stand not to have that fight. And you want to politicize this atrocity because that's all your world is. And for that, you suck as a person.

You stated MSNBC talking heads had valid points in blaming Israel for their past actions that led up to this attack. Immediately calling the decaptitated children report a lie and propaganda shows you're immediately against the Israeli forces in this matter (they're the ones who made the report). Decapitated or not, it's proven the children were slaughtered.
If you want this board to think you back Israel over this atrocity, then show it.

To defame someone...
1. The person has to be identified. People only know your message board handle.
2. They have to have their reputation ruined. Your reputation absolutely sucks ### on this board due to your own actions.
3. The claim has to be false, and you've already thrown your support to Hamas in past posts.

I just have personally felt that's a cheap way out and that it isn't healthy to shut out opposition views.

views have value. The people who make it onto my ignore list offer none, as I don't respect their opinions or minds. Never mind that the opinions they are offering are certainly far from unique.
Look at who you argue with. Are you making any headway with them? Learning anything new from them? Feel challenged in your own beliefs that makes you stronger in them, or willing to reconsider?
Or are they, at best, regurgitating talking points you hear ad naseum anywhere else; or at worst, peddling conspiracies and racism?
