Dabo: Stop coddlng your players thru constant rosy assessments of their skills. Let the media do that.
Hold your assistant coaches accountable. Replace those not developing their players. Find new position coaches that are
performing well from FCS ranks if necessary. They are HUNGRY!
Thoroughly revamp staff ability to assess portal opportunities. Results so far have been decent but too little.
Re-assess NIL strategy to increase participation.
Lastly, stop with filling back end of roster with Birmingham/Helena/Daniel players who will never see the field. Instead, Go get the 2 and 3 star Local kids in SC and other local areas who and hungry and mean and want to be CLEMSON TIGERS!

Amen on your last point. There are some good players in this state that can fill those spots. Our in state recruiting has sucked lately.

Agree. The game has changed and IMO, the position coaches and staff are in over their head. This ain't like recruiting 5 years ago. We can no longer afford the "doesn't everyone want to play at Clemson?" mentality. We are currently on the wrong side of the talent gap. And we are no longer 2-deep at every position. And, as you say, we need to get local 2-3 star players. hungry as they may be, we need to turn them into 4-5 star players. And fast. Then hope we're not coaching them up to sell their new found talents elsewhere. Because you don't have years of player development. You have weeks.
We currently do not have the staff capable of this. It really doesn't matter how many talented OC's and DC's we go through. They can only use what they get and what the assistants can do with them.

Your last point is the most important, IMO. We have overlooked so many deserving kids instate it's not even funny. And some of them play in the NFL these days. Truth.

Agreed. I have said before, and will say again, if Dabo continues to over staff, and with too many inexperienced Clemson "returnees" including providing his sons with undeserved salaries, it is time for those to whom he is supposed to be working for to close Dabo's so-called culture model down.
Dabo should let his coordinators have more say in hiring their own assistant coaches...not be saddled with guys whom he puts in their rooms. The fact that Dabo skipped some steps when he became a head coach might help explain his coaching model.
Finally, the two coordinators that come to my mind that did things their way were Morris and Venables. It seemed to me that Dabo did not try to monkey around with them too much. They simply would not not let Dabo run their rooms. The point being, we need strong coordinators who have coaches working for them that are their own choices...adult men with past success.

Stop trying to run a developmental day care for 18-23 yos. Chew them out for lack of effort, stupid mental mistakes and overall non-productive play _ then let them go if necessary.

passes to ONLY our players. Defensive backs need to cover better. The defensive line needs to stop every play behind the line of scrimmage. Kick longer field goals and last, but not least, wear purple helmets.

Change our name from Tigers to Squirrels with a brown tops, white pants and white helmets with a squirrel paw on it. When I went to school there, the squirrels would attack you from the trees. They have more fight than our Tigers do right now. 🐿️
