Alright .... I'll do the work ... again ...

Undefeated teams and how they should rank, based on their opponents W/L records ...
1. Clemson 29-21 (0.580) 2. Tennessee 26-20 (0.565) 3. TCU 24-19 (0.558) 4. UGA 23-21 (0.523) 5. Ohio State 25-27 (0.481) 6. Michigan 25-28 (0.472)
** Left out FCS opponents, cause ... well, they are FCS.
This doesn't really jive with the AP rankings. That is weird.

In due time, UGA will jump up to the top, but we should be no lower than 3 if we win out.

They are trying their best to get 3 SEC teams in there.

If you take out the losses to the undefeated teams, what are

the winning percentages? If I'm right, Clemson's opponents are winning 69% of their games.

What if you weighted the wins by margin of victory?

Would Clemson still be top 4?

I'll let you do that math, but generally speaking, if you

play tougher opponents, it is expected that your margin of victory will be less.

AP rankings are entirely subjective...

(e.g., the BS "eye-test" argument) and riddled with regional bias.

You failed to include the most solid, objective and critical factor: the eye test. Thus, your ranking is illegitimate.

UGA has a very light schedule; even in the vaunted SEC....
I think if you look at wins vs currently ranked teams is another good discriminator of how good teams really are... NC State may. have trouble winning without Leary so somehow that has to be factored in as well. Tennessee without Hooker is not going to beat alot of teams.
1. Clemson 29-21 (0.580) - 3 currently ranked teams (NC State, Wake, Syracuse) 2. Tennessee 26-20 (0.565) - 2 currently ranked teams(LSU, Alabama) 3. TCU 24-19 (0.558) - 2 currently ranked teams (Ok State, Kansas State) 4. UGA 23-21 (0.523) - 2 currently ranked teams (Oregon, South Carolina) 5. Ohio State 25-27 (0.481) - 0 currently ranked teams 6. Michigan 25-28 (0.472) - 1 currently ranked team (Penn State)
FWIW - Alabama has 0 wins against a currently ranked team
