All these NC runs, and our fans still don't understand how you build depth

Every year at the beginning of the season, we never win by enough and our backups give up garbage time TDs and the fans complain and question. I guess it would be better to be Oklahoma. Those September blowouts serve them really well in the Playoffs. We left our 2 best CBs at home, including an All American in Kendrick, and got some young backups that need the work valuable starting experience. Oh, and they gave up all of 0 TDs. The refs bailed out WF against our scout team for their only TD against Clemson since garbage time in 2017.... Which people complained about..

Or to cover some arbritary spread. His job is to win and if he has cushion use game experience as a teaching moment to develop his team.

...while also spreading the wear and tear his guys take out among 78 guys yesterday instead of the 35-40 or so most teams play.
Our starters take maybe 60% of the punishment starters on most teams take, and those hits our guys don't take factor huge in November and December. Other teams by then are usually missing multiple guys and the ones they have left are largely held together with duct tape and bailing wire, while our guys still have fresh legs when it's time to play for ACC titles and in the playoffs.
You see it every year, teams that start hot can't finish because they're too beat up. Truthfully much of our success against Alabama has often had a lot to do with our superior depth and health. It definitely played into our victory against OSU last year. When Trevor needed to pull the ball down and go get those yards with his own legs he still had it in the tank to give; Justin Fields was gimped up and didn't.
Trevor got sacked on the first series last night...after that I'm not sure Wake managed to even breath hard in his direction. Etienne carried 17 times and was largely done by halftime...the list goes on, and on.
Last night was exactly what you want, if you're a coach or fan, because it means Clemson's doing what it's done for years under Dabo, and maybe the best we've ever done it, actually.

I think those that whine are just prepubescent posters.

It comes with success.
Back in the 90s fans at FSU were ready to fire Bobby after the first loss of every season.
Fans expectations go from: 1. Just be competitive. 2. Just win. 3. Just win 'em all. 4. Just win 'em all, big!
As for playing so many guys one of Bobby's principles was "You win next year's championship this year."
Dabo doesn't empty the bench in blowouts to prepare those freshmen to win this year's championship.
