most disconcerting one of all to me is being dead last in the country in fumbles lost. Ball security should be an A1 priority to have any chance to be a good football team.

Ball security is hard to teach. Like rebounding in basketball it is a matter of mental and physical toughness. Obviously no one wants to fumble. In the moment you have to be stronger than your opponent. You have to want it.

True, and foresight should have been utilized in every game since Duke. Teams know we can't hold onto a freaking ball and they're coming for the punch out or tackle with the hat on the ball (like every decent coach teaches). I'm sure though that the ball security drills we run are more than enough and much more stringent than any of us peon fans would comprehend.

Coaching is certainly an issue. But regardless of the coaching blunders, we have lost every game simply bc of turnovers. In spite of horrible decisions and lack of awareness from the coaching staff, we were in positions to win every game. We looked bad doing it, but it’s true.

Turnovers should and might have been addressed after every single game this year.
Discussing it and lamenting over it does nothing. Players have to understand that security of the football is all that matters.
Will Shipley, God bless him, hardly ever has a smile on his face and he runs with his head down and ball wrapped. Runs right up the back of Oline which obviously they aren’t getting any push,….but Will isn’t being himself, he is scared of the fumble. Once this happens, it’s like the “yips” in baseball. It’s hard to get back, but I’m pulling for him to get it right.

.....fumbles lost is because we don't have enough "talent".
It has nothing to do with coaching. Nope, nothing.
