Too young to have ever seen the Dead. But would've loved to.

The other being RUSH.

My one band to have seen would be Chicago when Terry Kath was alive! That man was the soul of that group!

Elvis: I was too young to make the decision for myself, but he played Columbia a year or two before he died and I was interested.

Johnny Cash: He was to play in MB and I was old enough to do this one myself. I had plans to go but he canceled.

Rush:

George Jones:

Pink Floyd:

Van Hagar: saw Van Halen 2x. Though Id begun to lose interest in concerts by the time they were making their rounds I can now look back and wish I could have seen Eddie and Alex at least one more time.

Concerts I regret having paid money to attend:

Foreigner: Bryan Adams was a no name who opened for them and was by far the better act. Foreigner, though I was a bit of a fan, just really disappointed. I enjoyed Count Basie more than them.

Iron Maiden: was never really into Maiden, but I twisted the arm of a friend to join me to a Hank concert and this was him calling his mark.

The first time I saw McCartney was also in Columbia in 1993. I saw him again in 2015 (Colonia Life Arena) and in 2019 at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville. Ringo and his All-Starr Band played the Peace Center in Greenville about ten years go. Todd Rundgren and Colin Hay from Men at Work performed with him.

The only one I didn’t get to see was stone temple pilots. I had tickets 3x and Weiland couldn’t stay out of rehab. Then he passed. Some of the better groups live were one’s I didn’t really want to see tbh. Many disappointments with singers that could not sing live too.
My first show was David Lee Roth with Poison in 1987. I’ve seen the best from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s since. I even caught the Roots at Lalapalooza when they weren’t even heard of in Atlanta. Saw the Shaolin monks at Lalapalooza in Rockingham which was incredibly cool. Little five year old kid performing a perfect dragon kata was mind blowing.
There is one more band I’d like to see; that would be three doors down.

3. Rush
4. Frank Zappa & The Mothers

was too young for Pink Floyd or Zappa, but kick myself for not going to see Tom Petty or Rush...

My wife made me go see the GO Go's with her in the early '80's and I could have gagged but NXS was to play behind them and she wanted to leave before they came on. That was a day that will live in infamy in my life!

Couple of years back U2 did the entire Joshua Tree album in concert and I really wanted to go but couldn’t rationalize spending the money. Tickets are crazy these days.
