Problem is they don't need help. Don't like em but hard to say they busted. They will be in the playoffs next year unless someone in the SEC gets considerably better and really lucky.

Tough road schedule this year could keep them out of the SEC title game. If you don't win your conference I don't think you would, or should, be given a chance to play in the playoff system--at least while the system is only 4 teams.
Conference road games that could give them trouble:
* @ Ole Miss (they always seem to have Bama's number. Plus this is early in the season when they'll be breaking in a new quarterback; in the beginning of the season last year Alabama's offense was abysmal because they had zero quarterback play)
* @ Tennessee (this will be their 7th game in a row and Tennessee should finally be an older team. This is a rivalry game, and while it hasn't felt like it lately, the Tennessee fans still remember that this is a rivalry and will be fired up to try and knock off Bama for the first time since 2006. Also, they nearly beat them this year losing 19-14 in the 4th quarter)
* @ LSU (this one doesn't need a long explanation, but since 2004 Bama has never held a lead of more than 4 points at the end of regulation when playing in Baton Rouge, these games are always close)
Don't get me wrong, we could definitely see them again in the playoffs next year but it won't be easy for them to get back.

Guess you should have circled and stamped them this past year. It wasn't because you were overlooking them.
2 of those 11 were in the past 2 times though, definitely a thorn in the side.

Keep in mind that Bammer was lucky 2 b in the CFP this past season. If the "miracle in Arkansas" had not occurred, Ole Miss would hv played U of F and Bammer would not hv been n the top 4.

That whole preparation meets opportunity thing. Every team needs a couple of bounces to go their way in order to have an elite season....even our Tigers.

Yeh but they had the #1 class, what, 4 years in a now? Who does that? Alabama has depth like the ocean. I'm sure they'll be just fine.
