AJC and the Dawgs are upset! And rightly so ...

The last Peach State player anywhere near the caliber of Nkemdiche that we fought them for and won was John Johnson way back in the 80s.
There has always been the generally accepted adage that for in state recruits, if Georgia wants'em, Georgia gets'em. Period!
Clemson has pulled some absolutely terrific players out of the state of Georgia over the years, but other than John Johnson, we haven't ever taken a player from Georgia that the Dawgs really, really wanted.
Now we have, and it isn't sitting well with the Crackers on the far side of the Lake, LOL.
I would fully expect that all stops would be pulled by everyone with any sort of influence regarding the recruitment of Nkemdiche from now until signing day.
I would expect them to twist his words to suit their purposes.
I would expect them to ask him loaded questions designed to elicit a certain response.
I would expect them to put words in his mouth even if they were not precisely what he said, or meant to say.
I would expect them to tell outright falsehoods in order to keep the pot stirred as long as possible.
We have to understand ... this is not Terry Allen or Homer Jordan we're talking about. Those are guys that UGA wishes they'd have recruited, but didn't and we got them by default.
This is John Johnson all over again, except it's not a signing day SURPRISE. It's a mid-summer SHOCK and something they cannot afford to take lying down.
We may as well be prepared to face this all the way until February.
But, it will be worth it because in the end, the #1 player in Georgia, and the #1 player in America is going to be playing for Clemson and not for the Dawgs.

He told one of the coaches, "I want to come to Clemson, but it looks like I have to go to Georgia. But my heart will not be in it when we play Clemson."

Anyone that reads your out look of the ughey saga would have to agree. The whole ajc article looked to be a bullet aimed directly at Nkemdiche and Clemson. It was meant to do exactly what it done. The more you stir chit, the worse it will stink. There will be a lot more CHIT coming from across the jawja borders.

Do you think every reporter for the AJC actually cares

where every highly recruited GA player goes? This guy just may be trying to create a story, and if that is the case, he succeeded. This guy may have gone to journalism school at UNC, UF, or Missuri for all we know.
