Old age changes things

Have been a Tiger fan longer than most of you have been alive, went to my 1st game at the age of 12 in 1959. Step back and let the dust settle, if you had suffered through the Ingram/Parker years you would think you were in Heven right now. Tommy West wasn't much better either. Dabo doesn't walk on water all the time but he knows where most of the rocks are.

Been a Clemson man since I was born in 1958 as my Dad was a 1947 graduate. Been through a lot of bad years. Don't like to lose especially to the gamecocks. But I'm thankful for our coach and our success.

Haven't gotten any flak from Carolina fans since Saturday but if I do, I will ask them who they are playing this week. And that should end the conversation.

Great post from another old guy who started going to games in 1962. The sun is out and it is a beautiful day.

AGREED! Maturity changes our perspective and

for me, plain and simple, knowing Jesus as my Lord and Savior changes my perspective even more. With the chaos all over this planet and the instability ever where, losing a football game pales greatly. I was absolutely distraught by the end of the game that, as bad as we were, we still could have won. Ten minutes later I was doing much better! My heart went out to those players, as they have invested far more than any of us, prayers for them to learn from it and move on. Humility is a hard pill to swallow but we grow through adversity!
And by the way, I am a young buck next to you guys, graduated in 1980, 65 years old. First game was my freshman year in 1975.
Go Tigers!

Winning is the easy part. Loosing requires showing good sportsmanship, taking it like a man and moving on.
