Agreed. I would put them at 5 or 6.
I hate to say it because I hate both schools, but I am looking forward to the Bama UGA matchup. Much to our dismay, this may be UGA’s year.

At least 7. They couldn’t drop Clemson out of the top 25 fast enough. Alabama should face similar scrutiny. But they’ll say it was a tough road loss on a last second FG to justify keeping them around. Because you know even unranked SEC teams are better than anything else in the country.
But I say A&M beat them with two freshmen offensive linemen and a third on the depth chart QB. Alabama should drop to 7.

We scored 3 points against Georgia and dropped several spots. Then we struggled against a mediocre Georgia Tech team, and then lost to a mediocre Mac State team. It was only then that we dropped out.
Alabama has looked good this year. They have more quality wins than we do, and their loss was a narrow one on the road in a tough environment. They will surely drop a few spots, but they belong in the top 10 based on what we’ve seen so far this year.

I believe 7 is in the top 10.
Clemson beat GT and dropped. Then lost to State and dropped 19 spots I believe it was. Then beat BC and dropped out of the top 25. I don’t think I recall a team getting punished so much for winning.
But at the same time I’m not sure a two loss team deserves to be in the top 25 at the moment. And I’m just saying Alabama should be put under the microscope. They are a good team but they can be had this year. They still have Arkansas and Auburn to go. Could be interesting.

Bama was dominant up until last night.
We only dropped 3 spots from 3 to 6 in the AP poll after losing to Georgia. We fell 3 more spots after the ugly 14-8 win over GT. Then we plummeted from 9 to 25 after losing to NC State. But you have to keep in mind that we were 2-2 at that point and had scored 3, 14, and 14 in regulation in our 3 games against FBS opponents. Most teams with that resume wouldn't have been ranked at all. The only reasons we were still in the top 25 were: 1) we started at #3, and 2) the Clemson name.

Not saying they should be ranked in the top 4 today, but I do still believe they are a top 4 team, and I do believe they still good enough to win the title. They probably can't afford to lose to Georgia in the SECCG now though.
If Bama played Iowa on a neutral field next weekend would you pick Iowa? I sure wouldn't.

At the beginning of the season, Clemson loses to a top five team and drops farther than Bama did after losing to an unranked two-loss team.
