It's really all in fun and as one poster said, it breaks the boredom.
On the other hand, if Bresee's decision came down to 2 schools being equal, I would have to think him knowing that Clemson fans really want him, it could make a difference.

The power is in the PAW. Paw that little circle to the left of CLEMSON and then Paw "VOTE" and when we hit 100,000 Bresee will PAW that little button he has that reads "I am committing to Clemson".
This is a new recruiting tool Tiger fans have initiated. This is the first time it has been used and If it proves successful, we will incorporate in our recruitment of future prospect targets.

I guess the voting doesn't hurt anything so no harm done. However, the tweet was an obvious fake. How does anyone know this kid will ever even see this poll? Not to mention that in this day and age, if I saw that poll without seeing the posts on here I'd probably assume that some Clemson fan created a spam bot to vote.
I can sort of understand the logic in thinking it'll show him how bad we want him, but does anyone seriously doubt that the #1 recruit in the country is going to wonder if fans of any team really want him or not?
