Watch a lot of football and have learned the better teams adjust at half. Anyone notice if anything changed at half? Actually thought they played a lot worse after half imo especially defensively.

Adjustments are non-existent with this staff. I've seen it over and over.

We adjusted our kick blocking. Couldn't you tell?

Was actually thinking of creating a post on this. It’s hard to read the label when you’re inside the bottle, but it feels to me Clemson is terrible at making adjustments and it’s been a thing for awhile now.
Even during the recent Natty teams, it was pretty much, here’s what we do on 3rd and 5, good luck trying to stop it. And we had generational talent so it mostly worked out. If the team we were playing lost their starting corner and trotted a true freshman out to replace him, we didn’t seem to deviate from our plan to attack that new potential weakness. Whereas most teams would instantly change their plan of attack try and beat you over the head with that substitution until you proved the armor wasn’t thin there.
I get we don’t have the talent, but just seems wild to not go hurry up and continue sticking with the game plan like it’s still first quarter. I get all the don’t panic, plan the dive/dive the plan platitudes but you need to be able to adjust to what’s happening on the field and if we get caught flat footed, we never seem to be able to catch our balance in game.

The blocked field goal with the subsequent touchdown by Louisville was a killer. 10-10 at half versus 17-7. Not to mention the other blocked field goal. But to answer your question, I saw no adjustments. Just more of the same. Huddling in the fourth quarter was maddening.

Very good coaching staffs don’t wait until halftime to make adjustments. Venables was usually pretty good at diagnosing and adjusting within a couple of series within a game. The biggest problem is that you have to have the talent and depth to adjust to something you know the personnel can execute. We’ve had that extreme talent advantage in the past where adjustments were necessary, effective, and against some of the best teams we faced. Just as an example, last night adjustments to shore up the run defense probably just exposes the deep ball chunk plays. The drop off of talent/discipline/experience is just that noticeable.

And let’s run out of bounds one yard before getting the first down thinking you are stopping the clock with 6:00 minutes to go in the game. And running out of bounds after scrambling for a 3 yard loss instead of throwing it away so you stop the clock and don’t lose yards. There was a lack of situational awareness (knowledge of the rules) by both players and coaches.
