Everybody remembers the old “pull back coach” for BV. Back when Smotherman was our strength and conditioning coach, even XT stayed healthy. We’ve been absolutely plagued by injuries. Beatson was always the actual Stength and conditioning coach, but since Smotherman left it’s chitter worse. How much do we blame these injuries to our receivers and everybody on the strength and conditioning of our players? It seems like our guys were always healthy back in the day.

Batson writes the programs and workouts the assistants just follow their position group around and make sure they’re working hard. And every S&C coach at that level knows the proper techniques to teach

A lot of people close to the program believed that Batson hasn’t done a good job of evolving over time with the new techniques and technology available in that field. But who knows. I think he is still one of the best in the country
Honestly the last few years Clemson has missed on a lot of the top tier guys that come in college ready and you just take them out of the wrapper and put them on the field. A lot of the June 1st offer guys have went to other places. I think there’s a lot more development required with the next tier of players that Clemson is getting right now and sometimes their bodies just get overloaded.
Some teams have really good luck with injuries and Clemson was very fortunate for a few years
Still a long way to go until August and September and one thing about the kids in the Clemson program is they work their butt off. Hopefully they will come back healthy

Something is wrong when half of our offensive linemen and over half of our receivers couldn’t play in the spring game due to injury.
The process of how our players are trained, practiced, and rehabbed needs to be examined more closely.

Yes. It makes you wonder if another cause of the last couple of years is the lack of preparation because of so many injuries. None of the receivers ever could develop because they were always injured.
The last elite/great receiver we had on our roster was Justyn Ross in 2021, his injury affected him greatly. Hate to say it. Even guys like Frank Ladson could’ve been good, but injuries and DJ happened.

Wouldn’t say unqualified.
Hiring Streeter and Grisham had everything to do with their Clemson background and culture. But who was Dabo before Clemson? He wasn’t any better than Grisham was in college, and had only ever been a WR Coach at Alabama and Clemson before being hired as HC. There was no qualification for Dabo, it’s why he was asked that rude ### question and he responded, “No”.
They weren’t unqualified, Streeter didn’t pan out there and Grisham hasn’t either. You’re wrong again.

Streeter wasn’t qualified to be our offensive coordinator, and Grisham wasn’t qualified to be our wide receivers coach.
Both have proven that since.
