So a blonde on a motorcycle has him pile on the back and they ride off into the sunset like the end of an 80s movie. At least that's how I imagine it.

Anyone who would hire this clown should be committed unless it's the Browns.

Bad move to rehire a guy that left like he did the first time anyway. They got what they deserved with him.

ACC made a big mistake bringing them into conference

I thought they would help in football, but that is quite possibly worst team in ACC history, and that is saying a lot

Jeff Brohm has to be at the top of their list

I'm not sure that he would take the job. You got to expect some disaray when taking over at a new school. Louisville is a total dumpster fire though.

I've been texting this morning with a buddy who is a former L'ville WR this and he says all of the former players are very happy with Petrino's firing.. They're all hoping the AD will 'back up the Brinks truck' to bring in Brohm.

The quickest way to the big bucks and the big name in college FB is to turn a program around that has hit bottom. I guess we will see how much confidence Jeff Brohm has in himself as a successful HC!!!

This was not a matter of 1 bad season. Petrino had alienated so many in the coaching circles, that he was not able to hire a quality staff. So he filled the staff with family members or those with no coaching experience. His son was the QB coach. His son never played a single snap in college. He had 2 son-in-laws on the staff that had ZERO coaching experience. The rest of the staff comprised of former players who also had no previous experience. Players were transferring, recruits were backing out of their commitment, and current players were tweeting to Twitter bashing the fans. It was a toxic mess that had to be cleaned up now due to the early football signing period and the out of control spiral downward.
A great majority of Louisville fans did not want Petrino back a second time - myself included. When Petrino left for the Atlanta Falcons the former Louisville AD made statements about the new coach "having to clean up the mess left behind from Petrino". History comes full circle. That AD was fired last year, and now another new football coach will have to clean up the mess left by Petrino Part II.

Ville has a good football history and invested a lot in the program. Should Be able to get a good coach. Brom would be a good hire. I could see Charlie Strong wanting to come back too...

I think Brohm is the best move here, if they can get him. They may think twice after the 2 nd Petrino experience about hiring Strong again. I also don't think Strong would be too eager to come back. He's had success where he is now, both FSU and Miami are struggling now, so recruiting for him will pickup, and I am not sure Strong would want to deal with the utter mess Petrinohas left behind.

Personally I hope that Strong does come back bc we do need some strong teams back in the ACC, especially in the Atlantic to help keep us strong and sharp for post season play. As we saw, our Offense was use to the speed or strength that BC came with. I know that they practice against our D at times, but it isn't at full game speed and strength!!!

Oh no! I was hoping they would give him a few more years to straighten things out. They could be visitors for a lot of homecoming games!

Bobby was silently pushing them to fire him.

At least publicly silent. You could tell even by the way he handled himself on the sidelines this year. He wasn’t passionate like he normally was. Surely was wanting to leave but wanted them to fire him to get the buyout.
Regardless, never thought much of the guy anyway. Very smart fellow but lacked in other areas.

Give them six months. He’ll come back after the job again, they’ll rehire him again. Some folks enjoy being doormats. He must have an offer from somewhere else.

However, at this time we feel the program needs different leadership and we owe it to our student-athletes and fans to get this turned around.
Student athletes and fans is a weird way of saying boosters not involved in racism and pizza.
