Agree. I bet Dabo planned it this way! Seriously, the Tigers play better with a chip on their shoulder. It helps for the ‘experts’ to jump on the Bama wagon.

So Dabo planned on that game coming down to NC missing a two-point conversion?

Fair point. You think Dabo planned his team would stop NC's last minute two point conversion attempt? That was his grand plan to motivate his guys?

So I'll try again, you think this is how Dabo wrote it up? "We'll play em so it comes down to a last minute stop." I get the obligatory UGA insult, but stick to the topic.

We were trying to make this a close game or we purposely didn’t “open the full playbook” (dumbest thing I’ve ever heard) either are joking and being goofy or have severely irrational. We played a stinker, plain and simple. Good news for us Clemson fans is I think we are way better than this and hopefully will wake up and are lucky to escape with a W. Go Tigers and get to the bye week.

Bet everything that you have that nothing about the play during the game was planned, and if it was, the plan was to lose bc we came as close to losing as we possibly could without losing!!!

When a team has the talent that we have in key skilled positions as we do, and if our team needs a chip on their shoulder to beat up a crappy team as UNCheat, their are other problems that need fixing that a chip won't help!!!

Of course it makes no sense unless you're the media darling of ESPN and all the hacks who overrate a team that allows Ol Miss and USC score points on a team who historically have such a good defense they keep opponents locked down.
And you continue to overrate Georgia who is lucky they had a bye week after nearly getting skinned by Notre Dame, or an Ohio State team who finally played a team that had a .8 average 17 years ago.
These polls are meaningless and though I'd love the Tigers to have stayed #1 is was a foregone conclusion they would drop after yesterday's game. I'm just glad it was only 1 place in the ranking.

My question is, who in Tiger Nation that saw us play UNCheat yesterday, can you honestly tell yourself that we play well enough to even be ranked in the top 5. Not all that many in Tiger nation have been a Tiger fan longer than I have, and some of the worst pain in my life has been over a very bad Tiger season, and I honestly feel that I didn't see a top 5 Tiger team play yesterday!!!

I see they left TA&M in the top 25 with 2 losses. I guess it helps build the Bama resume since they were ranked higher when Clemson beat them.

This helps Clemson and this is when Dabo is at his best but it’s sad and it is a disgrace. Would anyone jump Alabama if they were the reigning champ, and currently 5-0? Can you imagine a scenario where Clemson gets beat in the championship game by four TDS and five games into the following season, they jump the team that handed them that loss?? No way. Yesterday Alabama had its starters in the game throwing the ball with four minutes to go in the third quarter with a 35 point lead. Why? Is that the way you win a Heisman? Throwing six TDs against a hapless opponent? How many touchdowns could Lawrence have thrown last week? Or at Syracuse or against GT? Dabo Swinney has done so much for this program and this school, including teaching us all how to win the right way. In his post game interview coach Swinney first congratulated UNC on a great game. He then said “we were outplayed and out coached and this is a game where we feel fortunate to get out of with a win.” How refreshing is that. He didn’t say it was the schedule grind or that UNC had more time to prepare. Or that the team had the flu? We didn’t say “they didn’t confuse us it was nothing they did, it was mental errors” or whatever other BS the sore losers from Alabama had to say after losing the title game. Sadly though a coach being honest and telling it how it is gets used against him by some reporters who quoted Swinney in their article and used his words as the reason why they dropped the tigers from the top spot? We punish a team that has won 20 straight games, for going into a hostile environment and, to a man, admitting that they thought they could just show up and UNC would roll over. They didn’t yet the Tigers still found a way to win. That’s heart. So Alabama will continue to do what they do. Schedule the little sisters of the poor, put up insane numbers and then when it comes time to put their money where their mouths are, make excuses. Sadly I can a scenario where Clemson goes 13-0, wins the ACC title and people still don’t think they deserve a spot in the CFP.

I am so tired of hearing the 'greatly weakened ACC' propaganda narrative BS. It's indoctrinated to the masses so effectively that the majority of our own folks vomit it out regularly.
Again, if you look at actual results/stats and don't base conference evaluations off of emotions or pure opinion, the conference is not actually performing as if it is that weak.
SEC Overall Record To Date: 42-23 ACC Overall Record To Date: 41-24
And the argument that they have 'quality wins' over 'Top 10 Teams' is garbage since those numbers are simply pulled out of thin air based on everybody's feels in the preseason and are just BARELY now starting to evolve into anything that will remotely resemble the truth as more and more weeks of results for all teams come in.
If you look at the team standings in each conference, it is clear that the SEC has more good teams but also has more atrocious teams. (top and bottom heavy)
Whereas the ACC has fewer good teams, but also fewer atrocious teams and a bunch of average/decent quality teams.
The ACC is NOT that weak. If it were, one of our 'average' teams wouldn't have beat UCF and Duke wouldn't have scared Bama for as long as they managed to.
Having said all that, I think it's blatantly clear that the media has had and continues to have a baseless but very positive bias toward the SEC and an equally baseless but very negative bias toward the ACC.
The mere notion that Clemson couldn't survive an upset this year and still make it to the CFP (even though they've won it 2 out of last 3 years) while at the same time being frequently stated that Bama has a freebie loss and would still make it 100% (hell they could probably lose 2 and still make it if most media had a say in it) is ridiculous.
Especially if you factor in the complete and total domination of Bama in the last CFP that left so many talking heads shell-shocked...and yet most still claim our team has NO room to stub their toe.

But having said all that, I don't care a bit about falling in these mock rankings, provided the CFP Committee ignores all the hype and continues to give us the respect and rational consideration we actually deserve and don't end up losing their minds like the rest of these nuts that are either scared ####less of playing us or bored of seeing us in the CFP every year and thus desperately looking for a way to 'popularity contest' us out of it.

Sorry for another separate post...need to join so I can edit posts instead.
But anyways, also meant to say that I fully expect us to drop again next week because of our bye week as one of those hot teams will have another blowout win and you just know they will end up penalizing us for not having a game that week.
Because, lets face it...a bye week is practically like just winning by a point again, right? RIGHT??
Surely the numbnut AP/Coaches/JoeBlow poll voters will see it that way when they start getting the feels again after all the warm and fuzzies they will get fresh off of Justin Fields or whoever lighting up the scoreboard.
