on performance, but I just don't like it. I don't see any need for the conference to participate in a "rich get richer" payout structure. Plus, it only serves to reinforce this narrative that football players are employees of the school. Their performance is overtly tied to conference compensation.

I asked about the revenue gap, and perhaps bridging it, and he says he didn't feel good after the spring meetings but feels better now that the schools are aligned and that are things in the works to gain more revenue. Says the idea is to not meet that bigger number, but bridge it
