Cousin sent me the coach release going on right now so I tuned in so you didn’t have to and basically and they’re saying that he’s going to run in the 2024 olympics, could be better than Carl Lewis on the track, going to be all over the field at RB, TE, WR, blocking, and he’s one of the smartest recruits they’ve ever gotten, and his parents are Nigerian and he will be a doctor one day ??? their track coach was on the mic slobbering all over about him. Beamer too. Never seen coot staff cream themselves over one recruit like this before ?????

If Olympics are his real dream, and I read that before, he will not play football beyond next year. After another mediocre record and a QB who will throw more ints than tds, he’ll hang up the cleats or transfer.

Curtis Frye the track coach at South Carolina is one of the top sprinter coaches in the US, also I’m sure from what is out there, he’s getting some NIL love from someone, but I would’ve loved to have him in Clemson.

Good news he can only play 1 position at a time. How many more 8-5 type seasons before the new car smell is over for beamer on the recruiting trail?

I never heard of the kid. So I looked him up. I know you are not supposed to say anything good about another teams player on this board,.
However, the kid is already running 10. 2 in the 100 meters. The fastest guys in the world run a 9.95.
He s 6'5 235. Husain bolt weight was 205lb.
So you can see why people are excited. I just don't know if he can catch.
We ll see.

Let's not pretend like we wouldn't be doing the same thing if he signed here. Who was the last top 20 nationally WR or athlete we signed?

Hmmm...seems like if running in the Olympics is his goal...

he would have opted for a school with a great track program.
I guess track athletes don't garner as much NIL money as football players.

Don’t know about their overall track program, but

I do recall hearing they have had good sprinters. I would guess Oregon has the better overall program, but SCar could be strong in the events he competes in.

Why would anyone risk injury

If you have a chance to be the fastest man in the world and not get hit for a living. Just don't risk a knee to play football. Crazy.
I think this is going to be over before it starts.

All recruits are overhyped - think of the ones that don't do anything.
But, taking off the orange glasses, this kid has tremendous upside. He's a 5 star because he's big and has elite speed, and from listening to him talk, he appears to be intelligent and humble. He's a little raw, and they'll have to figure out where he fits best. If he works hard and they put him in the right spot, he could be a beast. If not, he could be that talented kid that never met expectations.
They'll get one of those every now and then. We'll continue to get our share.

If track was really that important to him, I would have thought Oregon would have been a great fit for both...
