My thoughts on Stanford/Cal and ACC future

People say that Stanford and Cal will agree to come to the ACC for no money for a number of years. Maybe that's true and for the sake of argument lets say that happens. What would we have at that point? Same irrelevant conference being carried by two schools in terms of football and lets don't pretend anything else matters. Your conference is still under the thumb of ESPN who doesn't care one way or another what is in the best interest of the schools in the conference. The ACC was always an afterthought with ESPN, and as they said recently "we are all in with the SEC" No mention of the step child they beat on for cheap entertainment. Just look at the ACC Network and you can tell that. The best show when it came on air was done from the basement of the host. The production value is still on par with a good high school A/V class. Clemson will still be in the same abusive relationship no matter the amount of schools added. There is no future in the ACC for Clemson, and as much as I think the SEC is the best fit for Clemson, the better move is to the Big10 for financial stability. ESPN/Disney is bleeding money and FOX is growing. The national exposure provided by a move to the Big10 can not be equaled by an SEC ESPN deal. I see a day when Stanford/Cal and the rest of the ACC non revenue generators are abandoned by their current so called partner in ESPN, and I don't want Clemson to be a part of that. FOX will be able to offer more money than ESPN for the foreseeable future, and the day is coming when the SEC schools will no longer be able to compete with the money FOX has to offer. So add Stanford and Cal but don't pretend this solves any of the problems that still lie ahead.

I think ESPN will be bought out eventually and will have a smaller role in CFB. Hopefully their buyers will realize ppl dont want woke politics in their daily sports servings. Keep that crap out and concentrate on the sports.

I understand FOX can offer more than ESPN going forward, but couldn't ESPN better compete with them if they put more of their games on ABC? Not sure of how ABC is tied to ESPN as it relates to the SEC or ACC contracts.

Hence, their broadcasts are part of the ESPN slate.
As a result, SEC is going to get their 'marquee' game of the week on ABC (similar to the CBS deal they had).

I am against it because I heard somewhere that it will actually make it more difficult to dismantle the grant of rights. Right now, as I understand it, if 8 teams leave it would automatically fall apart, but if we add two more the new threshold would be 10.
I think Each schools vote currently looks like
Clemson, FSU, NC State, North Carolina (Want out)
Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech (Considering getting out)
Pitt, Louisville, Georgia Tech (Leaning ACC)
Wake Forest, BC, Syracuse, Notre Dame (Maintain ACC at all Costs, they have nowhere else to go)
Adding Cal and Stanford and/or SMU, would add more to maintain the ACC at all costs. Not sure we could ever get all 3 to officially vote to leave, no matter how bad it looks.
