Odds!

What do we think the odds are of hosting a regional? Obviously comes down to these last few series but I think we're firmly on the bubble for hosting. Baseball America has us as a 2 seed but I see us as high as 12 nationally in some brackets.

What say you?

Unless we win the ACC Championship.

This is a good team, but not a great team. We're a borderline top 25 team with more deserving teams ahead of us. I just think hosting is more realistic for next year. And in 2 to 3 years let's be back in Omaha!

3 to 4 years Omaha for sure......this year? Win out regular and win ACC then maybe a host, but that's a far reach.

Come selection weekend, the NCAA will be desperately looking for places outside the Southeast to host. The Carolinas already have three hosting locks, and the ACC could have four national seeds.

I'm figuring we put on our traveling shoes and put in a bid for the Super Region.

Aaron Fitt at D1baseball.com says we have a chance to host

If we sweep ND to get to 16-14 in league. He says the ACC or the SEC is going to get 6 host spots and the other one 5 due to the lack of qualified hosts in the far west (Pac 12 champ and UC Santa Barbara may be it out there). The ACC is 1 now in conference RPI so he thinks the ACC gets the 6th spot. He says the winning league record, the conference RPI, and our own RPI being in or near the top ten would get us in the deliberations, at least.

We must win out in the regular season and prolly make the Championship game of the ACC tournament.
This is all possible but the 3 games at ND are not going to be easy.
