At what point does it become next man up? DJ isn't this bad of a QB. Being sat might be what he needs to light a fire under him! I have a hard time seeing Taisun, Hunter or Will being the better QB, but something has to change at some point!

I wouldn't be opposed to DJU being benched. The caveat being: "it's only to settle him down as opposed to being anything permanent"!

The Clemson defense is national championship caliber good! They will keep us in most games! The offense needs to figure it out. If the leader of the offense isn't playing with confidence and taking ownership of the poor play; then who will?

You don't want to hurt DJU's confidence. But, "best is the standard" needs to be demonstrated in the form of -> it's performance on the field related as to who gets to play or not!

Think about it; there was no competition for DJU. "None"! The reason Dabo has been so successful in terms of consistency is: "you have to bring it or risk losing minutes"! DJU unfortunately knows there is no serious competition behind him. I think he has relaxed and lost focus!
Benching him would send a clear message that "Best is the Standard" and that he is currently not bringing his best!

Use the Puma early and in meaningful series. IMO, this will calm DJ, I think he’s trying to be too perfect.

Agree. TP needs a chance. I go back to the spring game and remember his presence in that close game. One series and he has the second team in the lead. His players rallied behind him and won the game on the last play. That’s the kind of performance the team needs. Do you sense a lack of confidence in this years offensive attack? I do.

Agreed!

He needs to know - "this is major college football and Clemson is trying to win a ACC championship"! We know he has the ability - but like a scorer in basketball: "right now he seems to be pressing and missing everything"!
He needs to get his focus back!

**Note: I thought they ran him some to get "hopefully, get a good hit on him" which sometimes brings out the "alpha" in some QB's. I did see a couple times when he showed some fight and some aggression. We need a lot more of that. That bench if "communicated right" would do wonders for this Clemson offense. Especially if Taisun is able to have some success! Even if he is mostly hitting short passes and handing it off!

We've done this before, and seriously need to do it now. Tell the team that DJU is running the first two series then TP is running the 3rd series. It would have been better to try this at home, but an away game will have to do.
