I will start:
When traveling south on I-95 between DC and RVA, you will cross four rivers.
The Matta River
The Po River
The Ni River
Then they all combine to become the Mattaponi river.

That saying has nothing to do with a small river overflowing its bank and making the road to the church impassible.

including one in South Carolina and two in North Carolina. Ironically, the New River in western North Carolina is one of the oldest rivers in the world. And it is also one of the few rivers that flow north as it does through Virginia into West Virginia.

There is a location on US 76 between Clemson and Anderson, right below the Smokin' Pig, that has it's own claim to fame.
Urban legend says it is the only location in the world where the four main types of transportation can all intersect at the same moment in time. Airplane, boat, car and train.
