Yep, and on the rare event IPTAY members need to sell good seats this is why higher prices are asked. I’ve sold on very few occasions & gotten “scalper, outrageous, screwing fellow Tiger fans, etc.” responses each time. Maintaining good seats is very expensive.

Exactly. Usually the majority of game tickets are sold at a loss for the IPTAY member.

The TWO benefits of IPTAY are seating and parking. The single game ticket purchaser is benefitting from the IPTAY member’s donation that far exceeds the seat equity. Single game ticket purchasers are not looking to purchase upper deck nosebleed. They are wanting to get south, lower deck seats. Think of it this way. If the “many benefits” were so great, why are people not ditching single game ticket purchases and joining IPTAY?

when you either can’t or don’t want to go. For any of the bigger games, the cost to the purchaser is going to get the aesthetic owner at least double the cost of face value. Seems like its helping out the seat owner.

Look at Clemson’s schedule the past years and how many big games there are to make money on tickets. I have stated on here before, if selling tickets were a business, it would be in the red. Tickers to most home games are sold below face value.
I am not complaining. I just want folks on here that are not IPTAY members to be kinder to people that are selling tickets above face value on the rare occasion that it can occur. Notice my original comment on this post. I was agreeing with someone that had faced blowback from selling tickets on here above face value. I personally sell mine on Ticketmaster so that Clemson Athletic Department can make money off of the buyer’s fees.

My experience is that it isn’t rare that tickets are over face value. I think every time if the last several years I’ve paid over face value. Admittedly i dont like to wait until the last minute so I’m not paying absolute lowest possible b/c I have to get a hotel and don’t want to have to be too far from Clemson. I don’t have an issue with it honestly as long as it’s not outrageous.

Nothing unreasonable about this price. We have bought 4 seats from a long time IPTAY member for the last 8 years. The price is basically ticket cost plus seat equity. They have 4 other seats and use their parking pass so we go out and buy a good parking pass from someone on Tigernet. By the time we are done we are right in this ballpark. We dropped our IPTAY membership 40 years ago when we moved out of state and this is the best way for us to get good seats and parking. It is fair to both parties. We get good seats and they get part of their IPTAY fee paid.

Last year's parking was Mell Hall, but I will request whichever lot you want that I'm eligible for (IPTAY level 400+ points). It's been changing last several years. 2 prior years were at tennis courts, and before that was in Heisman lot at Fike for many years.
