I believe they return 18-19 starters and have a bunch of key players coming off injury? This should be Muschamp's best squad, but CFP contender is rich. He had tons of talent at UF and still could not manage 10 wins.

You know, your returning starters should actually have to be good for someone to take that into consideration for a preseason prediction. Out of those 18-19 you’ve got what maybe 3 guys that have the type of talent you need in the roster to make the CFP?

Yeah, they lost the following starters: Hurst, Knott, Helms, Stallworth, Moore, King, Smith, and Lammons. Not sure where you're getting 17-18 starters returning from, but that's 14 at best. Not to mention, they SUCKED out loud.

They only return 12 starters. 8 on offense and 4 on defense.

I know a girl who's a Central Michigan alum and fan. I tell her that living here if UCM beats Kentucky ( their opener ) and the Coots don't she would become an automatic enemy of all Coot fans. I get the impression that she doubts that.

They will lose to Clemson OOC, and then in order to make the CFP, they will certainly need to win the SEC Championship. That would require beating Georgia and then (probably) Alabama.
Think of the odds ... They will need to beat Georgia, Clemson and probably Alabama to reach the CFP.
* Oh ... and also Kentucky

What’s funny about these improved Coot predictions is that no one is giving actual reasons as to why they will succeed. Nobody is saying “they have a great defense” or “their offense will be unstoppable”. It’s a bunch of very broad statements like “I can see them winning 10 games” or “they might surprise some teams in the East”.
Nobody is making definitive statements about the Coots because, besides their WRs, the entire team is average-below average.
They will win 6-8 games largely due to their soft schedule.
