I appreciate Dabo as much as anyone, but these two men were also raised by two incredible women.

Yes both of those two young men had incredible mothers that gave their all to move their sons in the right direction, and then fully supported them when they were doing the right things, and that don't happen overnight, and it took fully committed mothers to accomplish what they done with Deshaun and DeAndre. I believe that when those two mothers turn their sons over to Dabo, they also believe that they were doing the right thing bc they believed that Dabo was who most believed that he was, and that he would continue to instill the values they wanted for their sons, and Dabo was a great mentor and leader for their sons to follow by his example. It was a decision that neither mother of those two young men will ever regret!!!

Even if you accept that there were irreconcilable differences between player and coach and the Texans were not going to meet his contract demands, the fact that BOB got an over-priced running back and a fourth-round draft choice makes this one of the all-time dumb trades. Nuk was worth a first-round choice plus. Other GM's have already said they would have given a first-round pick.
