He is a career 29% three point shooter. He shot .275 from three at Washington State and .325 at Indiana. He’s also a little undersized at 6’2.”

He averaged around 10 points per game for Indiana on about 41% shooting overall. His assist to turnover ratio is barely above 1.

He shoots free throws well (about 82%) but that’s about it. He doesn’t really move the needle in my opinion.

We're allowed to disagree. But he would have been the third best perimeter option on the team this year, and we have a LOT of holes to fill.
Plus, there are the local ties (his dad is from Anderson). Worth a shot.

all shot better from three than he did this year.

His outside shooting is comparable to Dillon Hunter.

The encouraging thing is that his percentage has gone up, so if the trend continues and he can get into the 35%+ range from three he can help a team with his shooting.

Aside from his shooting, what is it about his game that you think makes him a good fit? Defense? Driving? Leadership? I don’t know much about him other than the above so please educate me.

He's a good defender, and he's athletic, and we certainly need to be athletic up and down the roster (we saw that against McNeese for sure). He's not perfect, but he's a better shooter than Dillon, and he's a heck of a story, coming back from cancer, so he's driven.
Just would like to see us take a shot with him and have some versatility to the roster. And it would be hard for him to be any worse than Heidbreder.
Plus, we are going to need some veterans with two redshirt freshmen and three freshmen on the roster (and who knows how many minutes they will get).
